Well, wait your selling the two rifles correct? And he says that he will do a bank to bank transfer of the money? And he wants you to wait for the money to clear before you ship? It sounds fine to me, personally I would ask for cash or a money order as well as his full name and address. I would also save all his and your messages until the transaction is complete and he is satisfied incase he takes you to court over it. But I don't understand what is so sketchy about unless its the fact that he WANTS you to wait for the money to clear and then ship?

yeah don't do it. Plenty of other people will come along with less sketchy deals that want to buy your stuff. Just play it safe dude.

Well if in doubt, don't take the deal. It's not worth loosing the rifles over I don't think.

That's sketchy as hell, don't go near that with a 10-foot pole.

Stick to selling to people who can form basic sentences that make sense. Also, I do paypal only in all my sales. Although some people don't like that.

Never trust anyone who wants your Full name or anything of the sort. Not to mention your bank will not process anything until you are aware of it. Its a scam!!! Don't do it.

That's a scam. It's not just sketchy, it's bank fraud. He wants your address and bank address to try and lift your $$. Report him if you want, cops probably won't do much, but get out.

That's definantly a scam. It's kinda funny how he acts like he totaly controls the situation: "I am buying", "The payment IS going to", "I want you to".

Now this seems very sketchy to me. What do you guys take of this?

That is right out of fraud / scam 101......run for the tall grass dude. Con men or confidence men will get in your face, even if caught in the act. It is amazing how many people will back down from them and go along with their deal.

What would he be able to do with the bank in question and his name? I believe the calls of scamming, I'm just curious how he would be able to take the money.

I was going to sell my rifle on craigslist and I got a very similar reply to my email so I decided to ignore it and try to sell it on here, I don't know if that's an option for you but I would suggest that. Good luck with the whole situation!
