I would pay money to see this Leo Gonnuscio guy fire this airsoft gun that he says he converted to a real AR-15. He has to actually hold it in his own hands, and actually put a few rounds through it without it malfunctioning or blowing up. We should somehow contact him and ask him to prove it, because otherwise, it is just talk.

The problem is... What if it works? I'm sure the ATF would just love a national TV show to say "yes you can convert this airsoft gun to fire real ammo!" Its a rather touchy subject to get into, should they choose to. No one really wants to do it, for fear of the big bad government coming down and dropping you in a federal "rape me in the a$$" prison for the next 200 years.

Have you ever heard of exculpatory evidence? Its that one little thing that pulls down your entire case, so you don't want people to know about it.

That being said, I think they're not telling the whole story. So far only one guy has said you can do it, and he makes it sound like you just need a drill and boom, machine gun.

So, I say, send it to Mythbusters. Let them know that they need to test MULTIPLE styles of guns (Plastic, lower end AEG metal bodies, high end AEG metal bodies, and a WE GBB M4) and fully document the process.
