@nemo

you are a sub machine gunner and your camo does not change anything.

@everyone else
I would feel like a huge tool bitching about someone leaving early only to find out they have a tumor that is being removed.

Gonna try

Postby LettuceHead » Mon Apr 19, 2010 10:36 am

I'll try to make it. I'll be there as WW2 British, either Para or infantry.

I think I'll take the scope off my stock TSD 700 to replicate an Enfield.
I also have two M1A1 Thompson AEGs and a 1911.

no one on my team can come to this match because of the magazine rules. dont you think that semi auto on aeg's is enough?
i relish the chance to sever the bonds that bind you to mortality.

No semi auto is not enough.

The whole point of limiting magazine capacity is to force you to aim and conserve ammo.

You don't have to do that if you're sporting a 400rd hi cap.
When brute force doesn't solve your problems, you aren't using enough

THIS
Round 2: Capture the Flag: details for the CTF game still being worked out, please be patient
For Round 2: CTF just about all the weapon restrictions will be lifted. Hi-caps will be inplay, Optics allowed for any and all guns. The only weapon restriction will the no Drum mag rule. Only LMG weapons will be allowed to use drum magazines. Only approved LMG weapons, such as M249, M60, MG36, RPK etc etc. if you have converted an AEG into an LMG platform, the conversion must be 95% complete. If you are unsure if your weapon meets these criteria, please contact me via PM for clearification.

So just play in round 2 ;)

Yay! We've resolved the issues that got this thread locked earlier.

Tommyboy is out of town for a few days and has limited internet access, so I'll be answering questions as they come up. I work a goofy schedule, so i can't always answer questions immediately. Come out for a day of WWII Inspired Fun!

I'll be there with a helpful carpool from Alex :D

I'll will be attending in my WW2 British Para impression. I'll be using a bolt springer rifle to emulate a Lee Enfield No. 4 rifle and a 1911.

I also have the following to loan out to help people get in a WW2 mood:
A repro British camoflauge Denison smock.
A post-war Czech helmet that passes for Russian at a distance.
A rather large (46-49 in chest) repro US OD M43 jacket.
A US OD trenchcoat that will fit a 38-40 inch chest (post war, but looks the part).

I also have two Thompson M1A1 AEGs. Mind you, I only have 2 batteries and six 55 rnd mags. I will be rather selective who I loan these to so if I know you and you will be attending then shoot me a PM.

I want to first off thank Alex for taking the reigns on this while I was out of town for the last week.
Alex, you are a good man and thank you for handling this for me.
First off, this game is still a GO!
I know we had issues earlier that caused the game thread to be locked by the monitors. I know they were doing there job, and by working with them we were able to get the thread unlocked.
I want to remind everyone that this is an expiremental game. And only Round 1 will be ran as a WWII inspired event,witht he weapon restrictions laid out.
Now Round 2 will be like any other skirm. again the only weapon restrictions for R2 will be not allowing drum mags on any non LMG weapons platform. All other weapons and mags, yes including hicaps will be inplay for the game.
2nd'ly: yes the name of this event is Axis vs Allies but I want to let everyone know that just becuase you are running...say german gear doesnt mean you have to play on the Axis team. I know there are some people who have put together WWII kits with others, and one may have done a german kit and the other a Brit or US kit. they can be on the same team, seeing how just about all of us have a group of poeple we are comfortable playing with. teams will be devided up as evently as they can be. and teams will be marked with colored arm bands from colored duct tape. Please everyone bring a role of yellow duct tape with them. one team will be marked by the colored tape armband, and the other team no arm band. is this clear.
radios will be important to the game, so be sure to bring one, and a deathrag.
all AP safety rules are inplay. be sure to review them. Thank you all for coming out and giving our WWII game expirement a try.
Tommy
