I really don't know how it could be made any clearer.

Well I just think that 90-125$ for a spring K98 is pretty ridiculuosly low. It seems to me that a work shop alone would cost that much not including materials.

The spring KAR98 is a pretty good deal. I also like that it uses shells. I think a mosin nagant, garand or a lee enfield would be a better project.

What About a Support Weapon? Us Support Gunners need toys to.

We're looking at doing this for a ridiculously low price. Such a ridiculously low price that we'll even eat the cost of supplying stuff like bondo/jb weld, sand paper, tools, and the bits for the dremel tools (and of course if you wanted to bring things like that to help the cause, we certainly wouldnt turn it away!).

You pay for the rifle and miscellaneous parts, and do the labour to convert the rifle. This is going to be a preregistration only class, so that we're able to keep the costs as low as possible.

As Professor Manicotti alluded, we're working on a series of Western front and Russian front events, hoping to put on one every 4 months to start, with an increasing operations tempo as more people join. If there's enough interest, we can expand east to the Pacific theatre as well.

Considering the cost of support weapons, and their scarcity compared to rifles, it doesn't make good sense for us to have a "come build an (insert support gun here)" class at this time. I wouldn't rule it out at a later time, but as a opening class, its just not a viable plan. it just makes more sense for us to have a couple "build a rifle" classes first.

Ok Just checking I might still be able to make a rifle.
Thank you for you response.

If your talking about the Dboy's KAR98 is a wallhanger.

I forgot about the lee-enfield, I'd prefer that over mosin-nagant.

Lee-Enfield No.4 Mk.1

Best of the bolt actions by far!

Thanks Alex for answering my question, depending on the date, I will be there for sure to build a K98. Are you going to post pictures of what the final products will look like?

EDIT: SMLE MKIII is my favorite european bolt action weapon, but Brit impresions are to spendy.

Voted for M1 Garand.

Sounds cool, I'm in.
I wore khaki's to airsoft before it was cool.

How about a Karabiner 43. It would be a great M1 Garand counterpart so that the teams German and U.S. are not full of M1 Garands.

I would like to build a SVT-40 or a Degtyaryov LMG. Maybe even a Reising M50.

I'd be interested in a Mosin-Nagant, as I'm going to be putting together a Russian infantry impression this year.
