AK GBB Drop n kit

Discussion of GBB (gas blowback) replicas.

Postby Raging Hormann » Thu Mar 04, 2010 11:08 am

Judging by the sound of their SAW kits, I'd TOTALLY go for one.
I recall somebody rolling around at Grid 18 with a Gas powered MG42 or some huge machine gun like that.

Whatever it was, it was big, shot hard, and was really, REALLY loud.

gentlemen gentlemen please. comment on some thing you OWN, not speculate. i have owned escort powered guns for 2 years now. im porting over as much as my collection as i have with these. when you use HPA/nitro its breathable air. your gun will operate at 32 degree's F without a performance drop. only below freezing will you experience drop. can your gearbox handle 2,000 rounds at that temp?

as for the hose thing. thats always been the only ammo an anti classic gunner can say. if your sling gets in the way that's how cumbersome the hose is. they make tightly coiled versions of hose so that its always stuck to you. the tanks vary in size and i keep my stored in either my HSGI hydration back on my warlord vest or in the rucksack of my russian kit.

the blowback sound will create distractions. the guns are so loud that escort users become a new strategy in play. just make noise and the enemy is more concerned about that player and doesnt hear the flanking going on.

the daytona gun/justin kit for 550 is a steal. and its made of STEEL. escort used to charge 2 grand for BRASS internals. so for what your getting its a bargin for CNC'd KNICKEL plated guts. its cheaper to buy this kit and buy a used LCT body.

for the m249 kit, if you put that engine in like say, the VIVA m1919a4. or a fantasy giant box weapon you can put up to a 3 lb bolt in there. imagine 3 lb block of steel slapping your shoulder a few times a second.

the GHK engine, even daytona gun makes the parts needed to makethe gun sound better, out of steel. i have a few GHK's myself. what i like about them is for long games like 18 hrs+ play. they can keep the PSI up unlike aeg batteries which are losing power every second after being disconnected from their charger. and the magazines weight is realistic.

i just bought a daytona gun AKMS off classic airsoft i will make a demo video for you guys to see it and compare it to my brass RPK and AK105. it will be my first steel internals gun and its decibels are much higher then the softer brass.

for a GBBR RPK, GHK announced a while back they will be making a GIM DRUM MAG. don't ask me how lol i think its gonna hold nearly a whole coleman's worth lol. they will expand to 7.62caliber and also will make longer 45 round style 5.45. mags. also in different colors after a rep of theirs(sniper x) asked what would we like to see in GHK ak guns. so im glad there is more bad guy guns.

the daytona gun kit, is still the mp5 engine just a bit beefier in some places. but its stil the most stable engine Youth Engineering ever made, only thing to trump it is the escort mp44.

DRK, that's a really neat bit of information there. I cannot wait to see your video on the AKMS!

The only thing i do not like about the GHK rig is..

The release of gas in random acts, and the expensive a$$ mags.

And have you seen the kick on these things, ah man, totally jizzed in my pants!

God I wish I could get the CNC specs for these internals - we have 2 VF1 Haas CNC mills at school that I get free time on - if I had the programs to run the parts, I could turn 1 set out a day in free time alone...

Buy the kit, measure it up, and start making your own for half the price ;)

I wouldn't have the slightest problem running a hose to an external tank, although considering I usually only use 800 rounds tops, I could easily get away with a tiny tank in the buffer tube of an m4.

Same here, i would work on a design similar to what i use in paintball, make it so the tank can be ripped off in less than a second.

I'd do that. Also an idea is to have 2 tanks linked inside a crane stock. HPA in buffer tubes for the win.

Do they even make HPA tanks that small?

the cold shot system used a 12 gram of c02 that lasted about 80 shots. there isnt a hpa or c02 tank small enough for your idea's you'd be out of gas before your 5th mag. i was working on a long drop leg where the tank and rig goto your right leg. instead of your back. if you ever fell backwards onto your tank. god does it hurt. that's what i get for trying to run across moss covered rocks.
