Where might I find smoke grenades, and how much money must I pay for one? I ceased to rememeber that they did, in fact, exist, since I have not recently seen them on Airsoft GI. FW3[?] jogged my memory of them, as somebody used one of the grenades in question during a recent game, and my team believed it to be an intelligent idea to check them out without the smallest amount of research. I used my Google-fu powers (rather small, as you may have noticed), but I wish to review your suggestions of good sources of information and good websites as from which I may purchase a smoke grenade from. Google may have provided some trustworthy and reliable sources, as well.

I was the one who threw it. I purchased it from an unknown (to me) website. It's not that great, and was pretty darn expensive. The one you saw was $8. I had a $5 one that was 1,000 time better. With smoke grenades, you have to be careful. Some fields don't allow pyro smoke (emits a flame). Some weather conditions don't permit ANY smoke grenades. Really, don't waste your money on them. Let those with more disposable income do it.

Keep in mind most fields only allow pin-pull grenades, not fuse lit ones.

Most of the ones down here allow lit depending on dryness of surrounding areas.

The ones from www.sportsmoke.com are pin-pull, only $10 a piece (to me a good price) and emit no flame, making them non-pyrotechnic. They work pretty well for my uses

I've used this one with good results in the past. However, be warned that it shoots a 2-3" flame from the bottom for 3-5 seconds when you first pull the pin. It will burn you and any surrounding area if you aren't holding it correctly.

You can purchase "REAL" ALS Technologies Smoke Grenades Locally at Blackwater Tactical in Salem.

Not sure the price. I tossed about 6-7 of them at the original Grid 18. They are real kit for real operations so that are not cheep.

They are also about 800 degrees F while burning.

IIRC, they will not sell them to you unless you have a valid LE or Military ID.
