More than likely, any legal action against the ATF will get you nowhere. They've made it pretty clear that if you move against them, they will make your life hell.

There's an old story about an ATF raid on a gun store owner, properly licensed, and they pretty much destroyed the better part of $300,000 worth of guns in the span of a couple hours.

Now, imagine if CBP and BATF get together and decide to have a little party in the store. The very idea of it makes my hands shake.

Military grade machine guns are capable of firing sustained for several hundred rounds, and even then need a barrel change after a while because it gets too hot. Now, a military grade assault rifle would lend some credibility to their argument, but so far, it's Valid Points: airsoft 10, ATF 0, End results: Airsoft 0, ATF 30

Since when does one have to file a FOIA request to gather information which will bolster ones own defense? This is a Federal Agency acting under to color of law enforcement, and as a result ALL due process apply. On it's face, requiring a FOIA request would be contrary to Amendments 4, 5 and 6 respectively.

Assuming you ever get the guns back, they'll probably be returned with significant damage. Bent barrels, missing pins, that sort of thing.
