Except, you didn't.

The crux of the topic under discussion is how "readily convertible" a WE GBB M4 is to firing real bullets.

Not how you could build a gun out of plastic and look shocked when the TSA caught you with metallic bullets, or a metallic firing pin, or anything else.

The topic of this thread involves shoddy journalism and alarmist press releases by the ever-valiant BATFE and CBP / ICE guys.
A related portion of this discussion centers around the WE M4 and it's similarities to the AR-15 / M4 / M16 platform, and what modifications would have to be done to convert from one to the other.

Your comments addressed neither of these primary topics of discussion. My guess is that you lack substantiative experience with either RS rifles or the WE GBB rifle, but I could be entirely off base. If that is the case, please do yourself a favor by adding useful things to the topic, rather than throwing unrelated stream-of-conciousness dross ino the thread.

Thanks!

Actually I commented on a post from another member when he stated that it will not last long. I then said it does not have to last long for it to kill someone. I then I mentioned that I am not claiming that the WE is capable of any of this. I then made a stupid reference wich after I read it a second time realized that It was stupid. Before you accuse me of not contributing to the topic I would really appreciate if you would read the post I made.
Thank you.

Some people are interested in debate, but if you're not, I won't bother commenting on any of your points.

First off I'm all about debating, except when 90% of it is anti government bullshit. The ATF is out there to help you sleep safely at night, but the moment they do something pro active everyone wants to scream and cry...

Im sorry I have put my life on the line, I have been blown up, I have been shot at and shot the haj. I support law enforcement and military. Seeing people trash it fires me up.

I was in the Marines and served in OIF 1. I've realized that a blind faith in the Government gets you into positions like being "blown up" by a Hajji. You can justify it all you want, but there's no reason you should feel the need to support something that has wronged you in so many ways.

I dont feel like I have been wronged in anyway, other then someone trying force feed government controlled healthcare down my throat.
I enlisted in 1998 as an Infantryman, knowing that job's endstate mission is to locate, close with a destroy the enemy through means of manuever and fire.
So please don't htrow words around like that. You chose to enlist, and do a mans job, to help defend the country right wrong or indifferent. Its my right to phony pony about people bitching about the government. I fought and bled for that right. While others rely on people like myself to fight and die for that right. You tracking like a stinger on a mig yet?

Lead, Follow, or get the hell out the way.

The atf is a relic from prohibition. Just like "in god we trust" is a relic from the McCarthy era. Ironic, because we wound up a communist country anyway.

I read this and I want to laugh so hard I puke.
The ATF is not a relic. The serve a purpose to this date, mainly dealing with getting weapons that should not be on the street, off the street.
Sure sometimes they can be heavy handed, but wtf, we dropped a 500lbs JDAM on a mortar team in Tal Afar because it was the safest way to eliminate that threat. was that a bit heavy handed? Shit yeah it was....but it was fun and it kept my fellow Tomahawks from getting shot by a city full of iranian scum.

Nice try slick but try again, The national motto "In god we trust" was challenged and remained. The ATF surely has done some stupid shit in its time. However labeling things as relics does not remove their significance and weight. While a portion of the government has decided to adopt Socialist ideas socialism =/= Communism.

It may have been challenged, but that doesn't change why it was put there.

Well reguarding that, i had appeaded on some US currency since the 1860s so i doubt that mcCarthy had much work in that department.

It's been done, they dont last very long, but its been done.

See, I keep hearing this, but always anecdotally. Anyone shed any light on a paperwork trail showing this?

Although, to be entirely honest, it wouldn't make much sense for somebody to do this. About the only useable piece would be the lower reciever, and there are very few people I can imagine that would willingly shell out 350 or more for a questionably-qc'ed stripped lower reciever when you can get the real deal for around half that amount.

Maybe felons, but for less work they could just buy private party, steal one, or buy off the street.

I'll see if I can get some paperwork for you. Martan, im working on getting more info for ya atm, I should be getting back to you before too long.
