WTF is going on? what does the government have against airsoft? I really enjoyed all the games and skirmishes up at ABT and the people were great.

Here is what is going on both the good and the bad, but first to both X and Major A Hoe I want to say THANKS for all you both have done in making the ABT Airsoft Battle Field the place to play airsoft in SW WA. Now for the facts, sometime in May of 2009 someone turned in a complaint to clark county about "P/Ball" activities and people camping out. I have talked with the county and told them that the camping out was just for the weekend and they are ok with that. I also explained to them about airsoft and how it is differs from p/ball and that there isn't paint being spattered all over the place. I was also told that the way my property is zoned I can not even apply for a permit to keep the field open. So at this point I am writing some representatives to see if I can get a special consideration for the zoning and I am also trying to see if I can write a letter to who ever started all this and send it through the county as they won't tell me who it is. Now get this, if the person drops their complaint the county will not investigate me any more and we could get away with some small occasional get togethers. There are other stipulation also, but will wait to see how things go. The real stupidity is that I can go there and shoot my real steel pistols and shot gun, but not a airsoft gun. So for now ABT Airsoft Battle Field will have to close or I could face a $600 a DAY fine. All is not lost and we hope we can get back open as soon as possible. Thanks to all who have been to the field and played with honor. I will post more as I find out what is going on.

If I was one lot to the west north or south it would be fine but this lot for some reason is zoned wrong we aren't suppose to have gatherings that last longer then 2 and a half hours . And a buncha crap like that . We are working on a few different way to remedy this but as we all have seen in the past . The system does not feel or care . So don't hold your breath.Ya know what I mean ?

I checked on that also, was told that is a very grey area and would cause red flags to fly if the county knows about that. I know just don't tell the county. Who knows maybe there’s a snitch among us?? I would hope that is not the case.
