unfortunately I am going to have to withdraw from this event.

My daughter underwent emergency gall bladder surgery today and will be going home tomorrow night. I feel as a parent it would be insensitive of me to go off and have fun on sunday while she is sitting at home in pain recovering considering how close this was to her surgery. We did not forsee this event taking place.

It also happens my sponsor never responded to my inquiry about donations which was sent on monday (which is odd, maybe out of town) so I was unable to secure any raffle prizes in such a short amount of time.

See you next year. See you at the BSP event in January

So does anyone know if its suppose to have snow on the way up? I have never been to this field and do not know what the trip is like from Beaverton. Shall I expect to hit heavy snow? And will it be a dangerous journy up? Or is it paved roads and such?

Just need to clear it before I head out.

I'd be glad to sell some of my ammo. Same stuff as Rick's (In fact I get it from him).
$13 for 4000 rounds of .20g OR $13 for 4500 rounds of .25g.

Last year, I think the game was canceled a few hours in due to weather (snow). Can anyone speak to the likelihood of this happening again?
Not that there's anything wrong with that.

Look, kids, for all we know, it's just as likely to be 90 and sunny as it is 15 and snowing.

Simply put: pack for anything (snow, rain, hail, fog, sun, etc), come prepared to play some airsoft, and if you don't like the weather, go home. You're playing airsoft in winter in Oregon. The weather is as unpredictable as it gets.

We have the same forecasting knowledge you do. I don't think anyone "predicted" last year's snowfall that shut the game down. Take a look at NOAA or the Weather Channel or your preferred vendor and make a decision as to whether or not you're going to play.

Its like this, the game is happening. If the weather takes a turn for the ugly the way it did last year, we'll evaluate the situation and call the game if necessary for safety reasons. The road to this field is considerably better than the road to the field last year, and that helps things. But if its getting sketchy and we're feeling its approaching the safety limit, we'll call it, just as any other event organizer would under the same conditions.

Be Prepared For Snow. Be Prepared For Ice. Bring a change of clothes. Bring spare socks.

and most importantly

BRING A GOOD ATTITUDE

And yes, Fred, this will be Epic.

I'd play rain, shine, snow, overcast, ice, fire, hookers, hail, night... for a game like this. I'm pumped!
