Store your mags charged!

Being a pinned topic, I don't think a necro matters.

I keep my WE Hi-Capa magazines charged with propane, and no leaks. Longest charged storage time was almost 2 months.

Gonna bump this and restate some facts so kids that don't read a whole thread don't ask questions, and complain a little less.

Store your mags with gas in them. Lubricate them with 100% silicone oil.

More than likely your mag will leak when you first buy it, it needs to be lubed then charged with gas because it has (more than likely) been stored with no gas in it, and bone dry as far as lube goes.

In Addition: YES, Propane works. Just be sure to add lube to the adapter, and you will be fine.

CO2: No, that comes in a little gas capsule, lube your gun and your mag seals, but you can't really keep them charged*.

Well poop. I've been doing it all wrong then. I only have 1 gas mag anyways (for my KJW Sig P229), and replacements are $25 on airsplat (only the finest*). I had been told the pressure can do damage. Also, if you fill a mag in coolness and it's stored warmer, the pressure will increase due to molecular expansion yes? This could be harmful. But as long as you fill your mags NOT below room temp, like you should, your practice makes alotta sense gents! I like learning things indeed!

You could have tested it before lubing it (somes valves can be pickey, some not, and of course there are lots of variables).

To answer your question: let it soak in for at least a few hours (overnight is optimal), then test it out.

Aren't you using like a TM M9? Every m9 i've known has had a problem with mags or the trigger

This is some useful tips, I will be sure to apply this knowledge when I get a gbbp. As for HFC22 all I know is that it stands for HydroFloruoCarbon, just googled it cause I would have said something completely different, and the rest you need to know is that it is a gas.

What a great time to read this, a couple weeks after one of my M9 mags that was never left charged stopped working. Pssh. Well, lesson learned. Now I know!
