To all of you who came out and played your hearts out I want to say thanks for coming out and checking the new field.

So anyone think the field is good enough to play there again?

Good games all. Fun stuff. Special Thanks to the people that put out the extra effort to lead squads, and factions.

I'll be out at every game I can there.
Just make sure to keep a player cap. The 110-120 people we had was enough.

The field is pretty good. I agree with Ivan's assessment of player cap, we had it just about right at this event.

Because we had the more fun team to be on out there. I mean our commander had a baby strapped to her chest!

HELLZ YEAH!!!

Fun game guys. It was nice to play somewhere a little closer to home instead of an hour and a half away.

And I know 'Bama had a ton of fun - she plans on coming out again, for camping if nothing else atleast.

It's a great field, I'd gladly go there again. I think the trench system could be made a little cooler (i.e. connected and somewhat larger), that way the middle section would be a far more frantic area.

I agree, the impact from a .2g BB is very hard to discern at a distance. I made my best effort to call myself out when hit, I believe I died around 10-15 times. I don't think I'll wear my helmet for field play anymore, it creates to many problems for enemies. I'm sorry if you hit me and I didn't call it. It probably hit my helmet, or my vest.

EDIT: Oh, and to that guy who physically assaulted that player: You need to calm down, and realize it's just a game.

EDIT2: Kro, sorry about that. You probably did hit me, but I seriously didn't hear it/feel it.

I'm finally up from playing (and battling a cold I caught Saturday morning). Sore as hell but had an absolute blast. The field was the right size for the people that played & the night game was awesome (even though my glow in the dark mask made me an easy target).

For my 1st outdoor game this was awesome, and I hope to do more games in the future. My sincerest apologies to the guy I lit up behind the pine tree; I didn't realize I was too close & should have offered the safety kill. It was pretty crazy by the end; bb's flying around, PLA & SOTA/multicam running together... mass hysteria!

Terror,
Love the field. One of my favorites. Host more events.

Regarding guys not calling hits--if you hit me, feel free to tell me. Unless it's Splat Action, the walk back to the spawn point isn't that far. I'm willing to admit that I might not have felt a hit--if you saw the BB, I'll gladly walk.

I just wish you'd all do the same.

well good game all and thanks to T1T, and Rick. a few more admin would have ben better but that will get better over time I'm sure. Our woodland teem did well but in the end the us forces overwhelmed us with its aggressiveness and much higher average age difference Well done!! 5 more mins might have made a difference tho. On another subject i would lick to discuss the use of bio ammo. I don't think it is as safe as non bio ammo as it can shatter and go threw the mesh goggles. i would rather that the host just required the use of their ammo and just supplied non-bio. I wouldn't mind paying the host for his ammo but i don't like to use bio nor have the potential of damage done do to fragmenting bio ammo. Once aggain good job all was a fun event :D

Good use of the field - it was nice not having to fight the same direction each round, we got to see the whole field.

Got called a cheater for the second time ever (at least, to my face) because someone tried to safety kill me from the other side of a blackberry bush 50 feet away. Perhaps that rule needs to be clarified that safety kills are under 25 feet, and it needs to be a clear shot. If you have a bolt, your minimum engagement distance is 60 feet - but that doesn't mean your safety kill range is 60 feet. You're supposed to be carrying a sidearm for the 60-25 foot range if you have a bolt-action.

Good times, overall. Looking forward to more games at this field, even it if is kinda flat. There's generally enough in the way to take cover behind, and there aren't too many spots where you can see your enemies before you can shoot at them.

The reason that bio-ammo is required is not safety issues - may indoor fields require non-bio because of the shattering.

The reason bio-ammo is required at many outdoor fields is that the bio-ammo will start to decompose and disintegrate much much sooner than non-bio. If I remember right, it's a matter of weeks or months instead of years or potentially decades.

Also, it's much harder to pick up bb's at an outdoor field than it is to sweep or vacuum them up in a room...
