Wow! Rubber fists and a rocket launcher. Speaking of rocket launchers are you gonna have your RPG ready for the game Skip?

Well that sounds like something that absolutely will not be allowed on the field, thank you for that enlightening information.

I believe since it was in the prototype stage that the velocity was too high. Now that is near completion it is toned down for gameplay.

Besides it will be used against vehicles and bunkers and shouldnt be shot intentionally at anyone.
My sword runs at 450 FPS, try to out run that! 35+ Sword/Knife Kills and counting.

Tombstone - what they aren't telling you is that Camon was *asking* me to shoot him with it, and I secured his permission twice before warning him that it might hurt - he wanted me to hit him in the chest with my first prototype 'rocket' so he could see if his new vest could take the brunt of the impact.
It took 4 shots to hit his leg at 30 feet (I only had the rocket, no launcher was built at the time) and by the 9th try I hit him in the quadrant near the right ribs, which spun him part way around. His friends put him up to it so they could put it on youtube (which explains most of it right there.). He ended up having a bruise on his leg the size of a grapefruit from the first impact.
Mind you, this was a CO2 grenade goosed to 600 psi at a range of 30 feet - with FULL permission to do it.

Now, I understand FULLY that when firing a nerf, its only to be used for hard targets and not personnel - thats what bb grenades are for. I'm not ignorant of the safety rules of the game, or of these boards and besides that, its simple common sense.

And guys, about the RPG - SHUT. UP. I can get myself in trouble when I feel like it, I don't need an ignorant comment to do it for me.

With the accuracy as poor as you say (maybe it's just the prototype), what guarantees can you make against shooting a vehicle with an open top or people in the bed of a truck? It would certainly suck for a passenger of one of these vehicles to take a shot to the face that was meant for the fender.

Also, if the impact is as great as you say, what kind of testing have you done to insure that windows will be undamaged. I'm fine with the vehicle I'm using to be shot with bbs (in fact, it's purpose-built for just that), but getting a window broken is a bit out of the acceptable range as far as what I expect from an airsoft game.

I guess what I'm looking for is some kind of range test that you can assure me of that minimal damage will occur to passengers (you have to account for accidental hits to people's faces - plan for the worst) and the vehicle. I would assume that you won't need to fire from within 30 feet like in your example above, but I'd like you to do some more testing on this to establish a minimum engagement distance.

I was firing the nerf by hand with a piece of PVC mounted to nothing, pressing the firing primer by thumb so it was definitely a prayer as to whether I could hit him at the range previously stated - that's why it took 9 tries to hit him center mass.. Also, I don't plan on gassing the grenades to anywhere near 600psi - they shoot just fine at 200 and have less impact strength. He told me what he wanted me to hit him with, so I gave it to him after explaining the possible results.
But, to rebut - there are going to be quite a few other folks out there with CO2 grenades with the same abilities as mine, with barrels just as short on their M203's or M79's - the same question can be asked of all of them. Madbull's CO2 chargers all go up to 500+ psi so it's going to be hard to police all of them.

This was an isolated incident involving random retardation. The current build actually has a body (which, is a definite plus lol) that mounts the 'rocket tube' to give it "aimability" and 10 times the stability that hand firing would. I can test the theory, but to be honest a bb can break a window just as well as a fired nerf from any platform.

I'm sorry for what I said before. I was not trying to be ignorant I was just having a little fun. And of course me being the retard that I am forgot to put in all the details of the story that Nox has just put in. Again I am sorry for my comment and I'll just keep my mouth shut next time.
