Are you going to be 15 at the time the game takes place?

Age requirements for this OP: 15+ (under the age of 18 will need parent signature on the waivers)

13+ for camping

Actually the game age restriction is 15+ for this one, just like Steel Talon.

Why not? Grid 18 was at Splat Action. I haven't played there in a long time myself, a lot of people haven't. Lots of folks had fun at Steel Talon.

And Braddock - you better get some trigger time in this time, you lazy bastard.

One word and some numbers:

Grid

18

2

Short history lesson: Grid 18 was at Splat Action back when it was new to us. We loved it. Even the guy who fell in the creek had a blast. Granted, he was probably drier than the rest of us. SA was where I got my first kills. You always remember your first.

That being said, I may or may not be able to make this one. I may be house sitting that weekend. If I can swing it, I'm going to be there. And this time, I'm bringing a gun that works. I'll be there in my woodies.

None at all. Just be there, but be prepared to guard a tree and a spool for an hour. I speak from experience.

The King Of al-Talk. Hey, at least I'm not a troll.

My dog wouldn't know what to do with a duck if she caught it, but she's cute. And hates Mexicans. +1!

For this one, not much experience is needed, but you should have enough basic gear to run for most of the day and not be a burden to your team. If anything, these types of games are better if you aren't experienced because you can fall into squads and work with the chain of command.

Okay. I will have the basic essentials, 2 batters one large, one medium. Plenty of aummo. and a gun that works. Does that work? I will have all my outfit and everything ready to go to.

Yeah I turn 15 on the 22 of June.
And do my parents have to be present?

When it says 'Mil-Sim' Op, what restrictions are put in place? Ammo? Mags? Or is this just gonna be more structured than the regular game?

Sad it's at SA. I was at the first Grid 18 and loved it. Gosh, I even ran around with a cooler 'generator' and Raddue covered for me. It hailed. Rocking. However, I really do think that field is played out. My last game there was Solomon's Pass, and I don't think I'm gonna go back. Knowing the terrain and knowing the shortcuts and knowing all the little details about it take away the fun of a new game. It's not a new game, it's the same game with a new date.

And for all the guys that had fun at Steel Talon, were most of the guys that loved the game new guys or vets? I'm willing to bet that most of the guys that said, 'That game rocked!' hadn't been to more than 1 or 2 previous Splat Action games.

Also, if you need camping, there are plenty of other places where you could camp and play airsoft. The Combat Park in Keizer comes to mind, but there are surely others. Can we please please please get a new field for games? Please?

Specific gameplay rules, op orders, and other details will be posted soon. Probably won't have mag restrictions or specific restrictions on ammo.

Sweet on at least a step towards a more ordered game.

Still sad-panda on the location, but oh well.

John, why not just come and camp and have a good time? thats what I do.
for me the camping is the fun part. I get to spend a night with my airsoft friends and have a few drinks.

Plus its only $10. come out have some fun camping with the boys.
I am putting it up to the crew to decide. We are talking about putting together a command HQ for one of the sides. Like we did for last years invasion Europe.
But personally I am tired of that ground. Especially if we could go to beaver creek, a virgin field,
The majority of the Veterans of the No. 5 are tired of this place also..

I don't camp, I did 18 years worth of that doing Civil War(on the ground by the fire under the stars) and WWII Reenacting. I like a warm bed and a shower.

1 question, 1 statement and I am not doing this to be a tool.

(Question) Is your event OP: EH at this Beavercreek field? I like James and hope that his field does take off.

(Statement) While this maybe eating at you. This is not the place to post about it. People please stop shitting in our game thread about how or why you do not like Splat Action. This thread is not about that.

If you do not like the field (which has seen some nice improvements) then please do not attend if you desire. If you hate it that much you are probally doing so already. Let's move forward and let the ones that are going, talk about the event and get excited about it. This type of chatter can be held in another thread somewhere else on this site.

I agree with Riddick. Yes there are plenty of new fields and YES we will probably host at those fields soon, but this event is at Splat Action. There are plenty of new players who haven't been to the field much... And with previous turnouts of 400+ players, with a player cap of only 200 I am sure we will get plenty of people who haven't had their fill of SplatAction come out and have a great time. There's no way we could fit you all into the field anyway with a cap of only 200. If you aren't interested in SA, you can come check out one of our future events somewhere else.
