I stand corrected. I've finally taken the time to clear up the conflicting reports on the chambering. Yes, it shoots a Grendel, which fires a 6.5mm bullet from a 7.62mm casing necked down to the same length as a 5.56.

Here's a picture of the Grendel 6.5 round for anyone who cares.

What I'm saying is that the bullet (and thus the mag, and the receiver) is wider than a standard 5.56mm, yet the same length, so there won't be any mags out there with the same dimensions. I think you're correct in using a 5.56mm receiver, as it will look closer to the real thing than using the 7.62.

It took a lot of digging to clarify all the shit that was posted in various places, and I apologize for not doing the research the first time.

That's just about the only site that I can find it. Which book? It would be a great mod to do with some spare parts.

I'm considering swapping out the plastic body on an E1 M16a4, and I might use that for something along these lines. The fact that the barrel looks so easy to build is a plus.

the alexander arms 6.5 chambered AR style rifle is a standard AR lower, with a 6.5 chambered upper, bolt, and bolt carrier group.

So he could indeed use a standard AR type AEG when building his Grendel.

The parent case of the 6.5 Grendel is the 6mm PPC, whose parent case is the .220 Russian, whose parent case is the 7.62x39mm...confusing isn't it?

Yes, and they are surprisingly good for the price.

Could ditch the delta ring, jbweld the integrated suppressor to the barrel nut so it slides over the outter barrel, and threads onto the receiver itself.
