What positions are still available for acting? Depending on the role, I may be interested.

Contact Reese for further information about acting.

We will do our dress rehearsals this weekend.

ALSO!

Tonight is the final night to learn anymore PSD/Convoy operations classroom stuff. We have moved the practical upstairs so the class if completely free.

With that in mind, the stuff being taught at this class is 100% applicable to the Challenge and it is suggested sit-in material if you really want to kick-tail at the show.

Warning Order:

I'm going to get out this out on Friday, and you'll recieve a full packet of information on updates and changes the morning of the event. You will have all pertainent information provided in this brief....this is up to an including the expectations the morning/day of the event.

Teams:

If there is a time in which YOU CAN'T MAKE IT Saturday or Sunday, I'll do my best to work your team into a spot that'll allow you to run full squad.

Some of you have contacted me directly, but please send me a PM here on AP to finalize that. I'm planning on posting the slot times Monday.

If you have not contacted me or recontacted me with your timeline of availablity and I put you in a spot you can't do...it's yours to live with.

- How long has the UC's been undercover? Is this a year long
investigation, or is this the first meeting?

-This is the first time this group and you have met. You do have mutual friends.

- Are any of the people that we are dealing with in the deal a
informant, or are they all suspects?

One is an informant.

- Are the suspects in the buy going to be armed, and have they told us
to come into the deal unarmed?

Do what you gotta do.....remember, you are supposed to be a criminal too.

- When are you expecting to get the OpOrder out for this scenario?

You will get a WARNO tomorrow. You will get the full operations packet the day of the event. The WARNO is more than enough to train from.

- What type of drug are we going into buy?

Really expensive white stuff.

- What type of people are we going to buy from? (Russian, Gangsta,
Mexican, etc?)

Americans.

- What is if anything is our UC's back story? Or is that going to be
100% on our own to come up with? Not sure if you guys had a base for
what the UC's back story is, like their undercover background, weather
they are gangstas, etc.

You will be dealing with caucasian people, maybe a little more methish than not. Your cover story between your pair is all your own. Your relationship to the contact will be provided in the warning order.

Thanks for any questions you are going to be able to answer. I was
hoping to get some of this info for our final training that we are going
to have so we can get a little more of a idea on how the UC's are going
to have to interact with the suspects.

This was an email from Adam Fury (WAR). These are good questions that everyone should have access to.

If you have questions, please email me at (byoungblood@blacksierra.net) and I'll answer them here.

YOUR TIMESLOT IS DIFFERENT BOTH DAYS. This is to keep the balance of daylight operations fair for everyone. I did this by lottery and these are the results.

ON THE PSD SCENARIO DAY OF THE EVENT: You will recieve a full packet of information that comes in the form of a full blooded operations order. Your team commander will fill in the blanks. This is the full criteria on which you will be judged for this scenario.

-Success for a team for this mission is based on the mission itself and the team's ability to adapt, perservere, and do the job well.

-This WILL NOT be a scenario that is concerned with muzzle sweeps and other similar judging criteria of the past. Those rules were designed to bring you guys to a safer level, and now you are doing the jobs that we wanted to employ a long time ago.

-The packet will be very clear about the expectations and will read in a very direct military format.

-SCENARIO ONE: Will move a high-risk principal from the release point to the end point. Your route checkpoints will be clearly established. These items will NOT be something you are required to lock down, but you will be required to check with your TOC (Admin) every time you cross/pass a checkpoint.

Be aware of your environment 100% of the time. We will not stop the convoy while in route (other than traffic devices) and we will not use any other route than what has been established by the administration. We will not have any activities that result in any airsoft related brandishing, but while in route you are expected to pay attention to the world. We may have actors on the convoy route that will be non-aggressive, but must be noted by the convoy.

The convoy itself is preprogrammed and will react the same way each iteration. This does not mean convoy commanders can not tell the admins to perform an action. A yes or no will be provided at that time. (vehicle can or can not perform that action~ disabled or not)

DAY TWO OPERATIONS:

You will recieve a cursory brief on a drug sting operation. You will be judged for overall intent of the exercise, as well as control factors that we have used in the past. The information you recieve Sunday will be everything vital to the success of the mission. You should already have the skills to successfully penetrate and take down rooms. We are past 101.

Things that are key for teams to remember:

-You will put 2 undercover officers in the contact location. You will need to have a solid background on both UC's in case the conversation gets a little personal.

-You will must have a way to trigger the take-down team covertly. After the UC's have completed their end of the deal.

This is a very straight forward exercise, that will require a lot of cunning on the UC's part, and solid team communication as well as entry skills.

The actors will react accordingly to your UC's...and will react to your entry team.

Do it the best you can and perform under pressure, you can win the day. Sloppy and laxidazical will get people shot and throw away the victory.

SUNDAY: Shooting Competition

The BSP Challenge also has a full scale shooting competition. On your downtime on Sunday:

We have revised the shooting program to:

Pistol
Pistol Carbine
Precision Rifle

3 events with a 1st and 2nd place.

There will be no tandem at this time, due to field limitations. We'll crawl before we walk.

Full details on that will be available through Avery Kerr. He is the mad-man building all the reactive targets.

Will there be things to do on Day 1 when not in competition? Or should we just show up at our designated times (or earlier)?

Well, that's a given. But my wallet can only handle so much. Will there be any firing lanes open to just shoot some rounds off for fun, maybe at some paper targets or something? I wouldn't mind getting some pistol time before we run our turn.
