Out - freakin'- standing!

Postby book42 » Sun Jun 08, 2008 8:29 pm

Great game. Honestly, one of the best I have thus far attended. Thank you to all- admins., players, event organizers, field owners- without the combined efforts of everyone it would have been less fun.

Well done militia! We were outnumbered, outgunned (only in pure, FPS power, mind you) and we still pulled off a tie.

Again, thank you to all.

Best regards,

Hhhmmm...

A tie is what I heard at the end. They said it was too close to call. Doesn't really matter to me... the serendipitous taking of the tower was almost worth the price of admission!

He said it was to close to call SO he would have to post the winner later after he did the math to see who ended up with more points.
But in the end, Mithril won.

Steve will be posting the results tomorrow after he officially tallies the points. So sit tight, it's commin'!

Also want to thank you guys for making the Admining pretty easy on us. You all fought with great honor and integrity, and I'm proud to have had my hands in it.

Iron Anvil

Postby Painless » Mon Jun 09, 2008 12:34 am

Thanks everyone for coming out and thanks for all the positive feedback! Steve, Mike and I put a lot of effort into this event. We did our best to keep the game moving and as fun as possible. Looks like we accomplished our objective. Stay tuned for our next BIG event it will rock the house!

Here is the best play of the day from my perspective. I was standing on a tree stump at the tree line perimeter and two guys (Ranger Poe and Tombstone) approach. The guys in the AFB trenches sitting there with no clue or idea of what is about to happen.
So Tombstone and Ranger Poe start to belly crawl like two lions stalking their prey on the African plain. They would move with the sound of the wind and the rustling of the grass to cover the sound of their own movements. Five minutes into it here come some more guys from the Government forces they see Ranger Poe and Tombstone. They kneel down like the rest of the pride waiting for the kill.
The four guys still have no idea of what is happening. Finally Ranger Poe breaches the trench to only find out that it was his team inside the trenches. All that show and no go, the look on Ranger Poe's face was priceless! That was the best 10 minutes.

What was even better was lying in ambush behind AFB, listening to those two phony pony about it the whole time.

My dog wouldn't know what to do with a duck if she caught it, but she's cute. And hates Mexicans. +1!
