Hey guys, for whoever might not have heard yet, the minimum age requirement has been discarded. Here is the Age Requirment section in the handbook as it currently stands:

Holy Handbook wrote:All participants under the age of 18 must provide a Black Sierra Productions waiver signed by their parent with emergency contact information. Waiver forms are available at www.blacksierra.net.

Evidently the original age limit of 16 was a typo. lol, I'm glad I don't have to be one of the only young guys there...

I say go for it. BUt I warn you, if you get me alive, you may or may not find a grenade on my vest conveniently missing a pin.

Hmm, come to think of it, if I am in danger of being taken alive, is it legal to commit suicide by knife tapping yourself out with an airsoft bayonet
Nah, I wanna go out with a bang:-)

Nearly everyone will give honest intel... it's a matter of what measures you take, and how long:-)

Hate to tell you, but anyone will say anything to get people to stop "interrogating" them. Look into the Spanish Inquisition. If someone wants me to tell them I am the King of Bulgaria, at some point I will crack and claim to be the King of Bulgaria. Now that is not true, because I'm not from Bulgaria. But if you "twist my arm" far enough, I will say whatever you want me to say. That is true of the interrogations today in Iraq.

That is definitely the case when you are trying to get the hostage to confirm something. For example, the witch hunters would torture you till you admitted you were a witch. They only cared for confirmation. The same goes for the Spanish Inquisition. If you want information you don't know about in the first place, there's no way of knowing when you have it. So a hostage can,

1) Lie about information and hope to trick you into believeing it.
2) Refuse to talk. Period.
3) Tell the truth knowing that eventually their captors may find out the truth regardless

The trick is making it look as if you know more about the information than you do. If the hostage thinks that you can easily tell truth from a lie, chances are they will pick option 2, or 3. If they pick 2, further "twisting of the arm" can help drive them to option 3. I dunno, thats just the way it seems to me, in the end it all depends on a persons loyalty to their cause I guess, which means that you also may have to deter that too:-)

Anyways, this is quite a bit off topic, so I'm done, lol.

And when was the last battle-field information gathering session you attended? Facts, or shut the shazaam up.
Admit to nothing, deny everything, demand proof, and make counter accusations.

You don't think that a person will say anything to get someone to stop? Yes, I have never been to Iraq, and have never witnessed a "information gathering session", but it does not prove my point wrong or null. If someone is faced with "aggressive" interrogation techniques, lets say water boarding, the person will at some point tell the interrogators what they want to hear. Sure, if you sit me in a nice room and and repeatedly ask me if I'm the King of Bulgaria, (reference to last post), I will repeatedly deny it. But if you to subject me to water boarding, at some point I will fully admit being the King of Bulgaria. My point was that you can make someone say whatever you want them to say. And just because I have never been to Iraq doesn't mean it isn't happening.

Sorry to be jacking thread. If anyone wants to separate this to another thread go ahead, I would love to have a civil debate over this topic.
