Always has to be someone. . .

At the time the photos were taken, there was no MP40 available.

The game with the AK was a "time travel" game and included all kinds of players.

If you look close, you will see a G36, M15A4 and some other modern weapons. There are only so many WWII guns (a lot more now then last year) available. . the more important thing is the impression. If you are close enough to notice the difference between a AK47 and a MP44 - you're probally dead anyhow.

Someone should be Hitler. Then you could have an "assassinate Hitler" game. That would be awsome.

The original AK-47 was created and developed AFTER WWII. SO BLEH! IT"S OFF BY a year or two!

Oh yeah, isn't the Tokyo Marui AK-47 based off the old original Russian model or something (I heard about this at a game once)

Well I don't know about allowing guns from up to 1990. That really isn't very accurate. I was hoping to be seeing mostly wood stocked guns and Thompsons.

The MP-44, also known as Sturmgewehr-44 (StG. 44) was used in WWII and the Russians based the AK 47 from the weapon

I'd be rolling an APS-2. Not quite WW2 but its a bolt so I'd think close enough. I'd be willing to drop some coin on gear for the event.

SIGNUP PAGE:

GEAR RESTRICTIONS:

Period style uniforms will be required.

Period weapons are not required but weapons are limited to "semi-modern" guns only.

Allowed guns are:

Any gun dated before 1945, M16 variants, G3 variants (except G36), AK variants, Bolt action guns.

Disallowed guns:

P90, G36, SIG552, AUG, UMG, UZI

Prefered guns: BAR, M1 Garand, M1A1 Carbine, M1A1 Thompson, MP-40, MP-44, MG-42, MG-38, M14, M3, KAR 98k, Gewehr 41, Walter P-38, Luger, Colt 1911, Mauser BH, MG-34, Enfield No4, Sten, Bren

Period style uniforms will be required. Allied or Axis units other then US or German are allowed and have the same restrictions on gear and weapons. We want as many people in period gear as possible but using US OD and East German uniforms that are WWII like are fine. We don't want to see peopel showing up looking like 80-00's US woodland, Euro flectarn, etc. For instance, you use flectarn with WWII style gear, (i.e. Jack boots, WWII helmet, etc) that's okay. Dressing completely like a Viet Nam kit would be okay as long as you have something like gaiters instead of jungle boots and you make sure your not wearing post WWII patches and you are not using any camo not used by US in Europe in 1944.

If you don't know if your kit will work, take a picture and send it to me and I can give you a go/no go on it.
