Helmet or Eyewear requirments?
Admit to nothing, deny everything, demand proof, and make counter accusations.

for participants helmets and face protection are optional, eyepro must be ANSI Z87.1 High Impact rated. we're not requiring fully sealed, if someone feels the need to wear goggles, then more power to them. just as long as the glasses/goggles wrap around your eyes and are high impact rated you're good.

the only time i've had a bb come close to my eyes was when i wore my bolle shooting goggles to kp-48. somehow 1 bb managed to find its way into my goggles from a side head shot. oddly enough, ive never had that problem with my shooting glasses.

We will be checking players before the game to ensure that eye pro is ANSI Z87.1 High Impact rated. As far as people getting shot at close range with a SAW, maybe it will keep their head down a little more. The intent is so that SAW's can be used more as actual support weapons.

*GAME DETAILS*

There has beena few questions about gameplay and how scoring will be done so here is a more in depth look at the gameplay and scoring critera.

The leaders of each team will attend a leaders brief first thing in the morning where they will recieve an overview of the "situation". After this they will recieve a United States Army style Operations Order (OPORD). From this operations order they will recieve guidance for their individual missions. The leaders will then go back and brief their teams and have a short period in which to plan their mission and coordinate with other teams that may be operating in close proximity. During the OPORD brief, team leaders will get a list of key tasks that need to be performed and mission critical tasks that need to be performed. These tasks are the basis for the scoring. As you move through the mission you are given a go or no go on each task. Points are assigned to these tasks and points will be accumulated throughout the mission and day. Each mission will begin with an OPORD given to the leader and missions will build on each other throughout the day. Each mission will tie into the mission previously completed and will lead into the next mission seamlessly.

This competition is being run like an evaluted Squad Tactical Exercise and teams will be operating very similar in manner to a US Army Infantry Squad. Missions and tasks assigned are very similar to those being performed in country in both Iraq and Afghanistan right now.

Hope this gives some more information, any more questions feel free to ask.

essentially.

i have a feeling that alot of people have this vision in their head that this game is going to be nothing else than crazy, naked, airsofters running around and blind firing with 500 fps SAW's.

the game will be monitored tightly. each stack/team will have it's own personal admin with them at all times, and that admin will carry a check sheet to see what the team does right and wrong. the scoring will be based off of how well the team shoots, moves, and communicates not only with itself, but other teams as well. part of the grading system will be if each weapon platform is utilized correctly (i.e. assault/sub guns are on semi automatic while the SAW's do the full auto work)
any "spray and pray" tactics will be squashed immediately, and that team will be docked heavily in points.

alot of the fighting won't even take place deep within the MOUT town, but outside and around it. the OpFor in each lane will have a specific role and task (i.e. Sniper 1: target 3rd man in stack/formation with 2 shots) the OpFor is not going to be a loose group of individuals, but people with specific tasks at hand.

i hope this clears up any confusion.

Should grenadiers be using foam projectiles or showers for this?

whatever you feel would best suit the mission from the warning order. if it helps, there shouldn't be any scenarios were a major factor will be hinged on a foam projectile.
