If you need a ride in from FM I will be way early. You can post to see if someone else wants to pool in.

Sorry guys, I have to back out. I won't be there, I have to attend a memorial service for my great uncle who passed away a few days ago.

I am packing up and about to head out, I will not be getting anything from my computer before the Op.

0900 OpFor Element moves out and Civilians move to City. Admins take places.

1000 US Friendly forces at the field, Op Begins.

If you have questions Contact Zahrdoz, if he does not know the answer he will be able to reach me. I'll see you all out there!

Good game, the second part was awsome. I also got to use someones SAW, that was also awsome. Want to know what wasn't so awsome? That scirmish at the end. Everyone just suddenly started leaving. But oh well, it wasn't planned anyway. Good job Niall.

First of all, great game! Big thanks to Niall, Zahrdoz, and anyone else who helped organize this outstanding event!

For the sole benefit of planning for future games, I'd like to note a few things I observed today. (Perspective- US force)

FORTUNATE:
-Games. The first couple of scenarios were excellent. Great objectives and props. Strong admin presence setting up and explaining scenarios.
-Field. This was my first time playing at Scappoose. In my opinion, it has the most diverse and well-maintained terrain of any airsoft venue I've been to.
-Weather. It was a really nice day. Great conditions.
-Players. Lots of 'em! Great force on force action. This allowed for some excellent large-scale team strategy. I don't know if teams were evenly balanced. It seemed like the US forces had a few more players.
-Teamwork. The US forces operated very cohesively during the two real missions.
-Cost. It was handy not to pay a fee for this OP.

UNFORTUNATE:
-Leadership. Mission three sucked because there was none. Objectives and game rules were not made clear. The US forces also suffered from a lack of senior leadership.
-Storyline. Backstory was underdeveloped and could have been integrated much better into each scenario. An example of this is that nobody on the US team knew how to refer to the enemy (VSN / Those Russian Guys / Indigenous Forces).
-Civilians. Lack of actors was kind of disappointing. While I understand that it's difficult to ask someone to give up a day to run around in the woods and risk being stung by BBs, the presence of 'civilians' would have added a lot to the experience.
-Respawns. Too many. Especially during missions 2 and 3. When the penalty for being hit isn't very severe, players start to focus less on tactics and focus more on how many kills they can get.
-Uniforms. Some opposing forces were wearing woodland camoflage, which was confusing.

Much of the "unfortunate" stuff is minor and would have been difficult to anticipate or avoid. The three of us from Monmouth had an awesome time. Thanks again!
