Overnight Fields?

Postby Eyes On » Mon Jan 09, 2006 6:56 pm

I need a field to host an overnighter. If you have any ideas, please let me know so that I can start hosting classes again.

Thank you.

Camp Relia. no wait seriously. If we could all commit to bio bb's, then cleanup wouldn't be a big problem. They are already used to WWII and Civil War being there overnight, plus its got a huge field, with the town at one end.

That has been discussed about a thousand times before. If you can hook it up, then great. Otherwise, it is not worth getting everyones hopes up, just for them to be dashed to pieces when everyone realizes that it takes years for bio-degradable bb's to bio-degrade.

And how often did we "get" to use the combat city? Not bloody often.

OK, seriously guys. I am gearing up for the Scout/Sniper Course again, and if I can't find a suitable piece of property I'm going to have to try to get Splat Action. That is going to jack up the cost.

If you have access to a couple of wooded acres... and I'm only talking about 4-5... where we can set up a GP Tent and run a camp fire, PLEASE LET ME KNOW. We will pay for the land use, and the area will be cleaned afterwards.

Can't overnight or light a fire. This needs to be on private property for a number of reasons.

I know this is gonna sound crazy, but have you thought about going east a little bit. Finding a campground that is secluded. And going DEEP into the woods. Etc. Then returning to campsite? Sucks if your trying to keep cost down.

if i talk to my sister and she talks to her dad i might be able to get us some land usage out in the country... do you know where canyonville is??? or 7-feathers casino? its in that town... my sis lives there, my dad has land there (just a small field and shitty house) i might be able to work somethin out and to make it better... we might be able to park cars at my dads land, use one car to transport to the ranch then use his 4 wheelers to get into the mountains so there is no turning back... not a 4 sure thing but tell me what you think about the idea...

It is so crazy that you need private land. When I lived here about 11 years ago we would go out in the woods and party and shoot and fight and #$%^ and noone never said anything. And most of the time it was just a few of us, 10-15, but sometimes there would be around 100. And airsoft doesn't hurt anything, doesn't make a mess if you are an adult about it. OH THE GOOD OL' DAYS!!

Does the land have to be in Oregon? or is Washington within range?

i am going out scouting this thanksgiving, then i am going to the ranger and local sherriffs station out in the bend/madras area. the family owns property on crooked river ranch. there is tones of BLM out there , and there is a regular place that my father in law and the rest of the men in my family go out to shoot the real steel ( gawd i love my dad's mini 14). i will be locating a feild for OVERNIGHT USE SPECIFICLY! i will be getting local athourities approval and consent. i will look for a place the has a range of terrain, but as you know it is the central oregon desert, so lots of sagebrush and stunted junipers. i would really like to find a area that also is useful for people with desert camo( you all know you wanna use it, its not just admin wear). if any of the players out in bend/madras have existing fields of fire, pst me so i am not pissing in your backyard if you know what i mean.

AirSplat has their own bio BB for sale now, I'm sure they'd cut us a deal, seeing as they've sponsored so many of our events.

Camp Relia is a tough one to get... not only do you have to compete with the military...State Police have basically an open door there... not to mention all the county Sheriff's renting the place. Their price is pretty steep when it comes to "for profit" companies, not sure for the Not for Profit ones.
