New Team in Junction City!!!

Postby Captain Fox » Sat Jan 01, 2011 1:46 am

You got game?

LAMBDA SQUAD

Sergeant Foxtrot Ten Lambda, Commander of the Lambda Squad at your service.

We've heard of a bunch of people in the Junction City/ Eugene area seeking out squads and players to meet up with, and also a growing need for an Airsmith/Mechanic in our area too.

We are currently in the process of training an airsmith to better serve the area near us and arre trying to establish a greater basis for our squad.

Big Geography Games, LARP Games, and even Scenario/Story Games aree about to be unleashed upon this area.

We need soldiers, we need friends, and we need plenty of ideas to get us started! i myself have a good one-man arsenal and can even arm up to two members with my gear alone, but we need those looking for a good game to come and join us, or even APPLY TO JOIN LAMBDA SQUAD!

contact me via PM or my email address on my profile with and inquiries.

And thanks for reading!

<thanks to Lance Wellenberger for introducing me to the awesomeness of Airsoft Pacific, we're glad to be a part of it!>

Couple days of posting and zero replies, is no one interested in our new squad? We're here to build this squad to fit its members, everyone in the area is encouraged to get in touch with us ^.^

With the holidays the boards are really slow. I'm sure some of it is because there has been a spate of new teams popping up and vanishing. The community has a tendancy to take more notice when teams start making showings at op's, skirms, etc. Let me welcome you aboard and good luck with your team, hopefully we'll get to meet up with you all soon on the fields of fire.

How many people are on it already? If you have enough, show up to a few games like Pacman said.

No we arent big enough, were only two members so far. We had three potentials who all gave in, cant take a shot without throwing a tantrum so we let them go. One of them even hauled off and got physical with my buddy josh, they were too immature for airsoft sadly.

About 26 hours or 1 full day between post 1 and 2.

Good luck with the team, but without pictures, a website, a clear direction of what requirements you have to join or a loadout or theme for the team, and people won't take it too seriously.

Like said before, come out to a game and show your team spirit that way. People like teams that play, or teams that show up and have a good time.

You may have done some of this already, but this thread has some good info on starting a team:

Really, the first impression you make, the first thing you do is correct me? You have to prove your that much higher in the pecking order? The only thing I hate on this entire planet is someone who thinks they are better just because they are so anal they counted the number of hours between a pair of posts.

We are equal in the real world. Your actions insinuate a superiority that realistically you do not have. As a human being, I give more respect and expect more respect than that. End of discussion on that subject

Also, for those who are JUST STARTING, with only TWO MEMBERS, WE CANNOT AFFORD A PROPER WEBPAGE YET. We haven't had any pictures because WE CANT GO TO EVENTS WITH ONLY TWO MEMBERS,

So those who want to continuously ridicule the fact that I'm just trying to recruit new members with "the way it should be done" are you always so forceful? I don't feel welcome at all, I feel like I'm getting shoved in a corner just like f-king high school.

Yeah, nice intro guys. Your so great at welcoming new members. No wait, you really aren't. Getting advice once is nice, but that advice being repeated to you again and again (as my PMs reflect) is just unwelcoming and imposing.

I was expecting more, one of my best friends operated with AP for quite a while.and said I'd be welcome. This has been a metaphorical slap in the face.

There's nothing about being superior in Darius' post, he was giving good advice. Take it or leave it. Love your enthusiasm though and I hope your team is successful. I believe you can throw together a free website until you can afford a zero-ad one with your own domain. There's an OP in a couple months or so, so show up to that with whom ever you have and introduce yourself. Welcome to AP.
I do hope that after all this discreditable shuffling we may be taken into action. It has a wonderful way of reconciling a man with himself: and with everybody else, sometimes. - 1st Lt. James Dillon

TEAM RULES

1: All activities will be legal, period. We will not be "guilty by association", a good teammate won't do things to put his team in jeapordy.

2: There is a uniform for our team, info supplied upon request. Its simple and cheap, and for the mpst part non-negotiable. You wear team colors, team patches, and authorized gear only.

3: If you can't curse, don't. We aren't little kids so watch your mouth period.

4: If you get into a fight, your on probation pending investigation. If its discovered to be your fault, you are subject to termination.

5: Follow your orders and you will be strong as a player. Ranks are for your own good.

6: Enjoy yourself, but keep your head in the right place. Friendly fire happens, but friendly fire repeatedly is just plain stupid or intentional.

7: Until you are told to fire, don't even think about it. Giving away your position is a dangerous mistake.

8: You are part of a team. We are not different we are one entity. Your differences do not exist on the field or in the barracks. Save the drama for your momma.

9: RANK IS EARNED, not given.

10: Don't do anything stupid.

(more pending possibly.)

Following what Darius said as well, people are looking to join teams that are well established in the AP community. Like APST, PSC, CAG, Fragistan, etc. The more you show up, you'll make a better impression. Also you might want to work and your grammar a little bit. People are kind of stingy about that on here ;)

That aside, welcome to AP, and goodluck with your team.

THE ARMORY

All members of this team must have an operating AEG and a sidearm. I carry one AK47, one MP7, and one Colt M1911. Soon we will be purchasing a SAW M249 from the wonderful Classic Army and we will use this as it is meant to be, a Squad Support Weapon.

DONATIONS ACCEPTED, we want better gear that everyone can use and enjoy! A nice Zombie Mowing Minigun is a sweet idea, but thats something we're just gonna have to save for more fortunate times hehe.

WE HAVE A BOAT, you can do aquatic insertions, but no firing is allowed from or at the vessel. Its not a Zodiac, its a fishing boat and needs to be treated like it is- private property.

MORE IS GOOD BUT KESS CAN BE TOO, we each keep a small arsenal on us, enough to fight off our enemies. Overprep is okay, but 5000 rounds worth of clips for each gun is just overdoing it. We aren't one men armies, we are one group who work together.

WE ARE BUILDING!!! We are slowly stacking up an armory and arsenal that slowly grows, donations are welcomed at all times.

Hey I appreciate the polite way you said it, but know I work my a$$ off on grammar. I try hard but I admit I miss things here and there, like that angry message of mine earlier xP and how that senctence included "I" three times.

I know people are stingy, I read the rules, but thank you for the reminder :3

Don't jump the gun about people being "Anal"
Dan is well respected around this community and I don't see one offensive thing he said.
