Dunedain Rangers Recruiting

Postby TexMex » Fri Aug 28, 2009 10:34 am

We men of the Dunedain Rangers take this hobby/sport very seriously. The Dunedain Rangers team bases their impression off the Navy SEALS. That includes some of the disciplines that the military uses; for example marching, saluting, and falling-in in an orderly line.
If you are one of the many who plays Airsoft because you like to run around in the woods and shoot each other in a casual relaxed way, 'there is nothing wrong with that" but if that describes you then this team is probably not the place for you.
If however, you want to play with a team that is committed to being the best Airsofters we can possibly be and you like military structure and discipline, then the Dunedain Rangers is the team for you.

To look and feel as professional as possible we all wear the same uniform and we all have almost the same equipment.
To apply for the Dunedain Rangers Airsoft team you must be a male of 16 or older, If you are 14 or 15 and wish to join you will have to have a family member on the team sponsor you.

Here is a list the required gear a member must have.

1. ECHO 1 SCAR "Light", or ECHO 1 Full metal M4, and 3 batteries.
2. One set of standard woodland BDU's, trousers, blouse and boonie hat.
3. One pair of Black military style Boots.
4. OD Green UTG tactical vest
5. 2 Pairs of Airsoft glasses.
6. Midland Lxt 330 with Headset of choice.
7. 8-16 mid-cap mags.
8. 2 OD green canteens or an OD green water blader/pack.

You are not expected to show up at your first event with all of the gear on the list.
A potential recruit must attend 4 events before he can join. Once he has joined he will be expected to have his gear by his 6th event.
If you have any Questions E-mail my CO at Strider9117@gmail.com or send me a PM. I would be more than happy to answer your questions.

Some more info for you all:

To join the team, you must attend a total of 4 events before your initiation. If you want to play with us one event and see how we do things, you are more than welcome too.

Also, just to be clear, the gear loadout is very very flexible. The ONLY thing that we require is a Woodland BDU loadout (Pants, shirt, boonie) and black boots. The other things come in time.

We have experience in leading and hosting events in the past, so that should tell you we arent some backyard team ;)

Dont be afraid to ask questions!

I'm just curious as to why you specifically require Echo 1 brand AEGS.

Echo1 has been the one brand where we have experienced no problems. CA and all the other brands have proven to be inefficient compared to Echo1. But like i said, if you dont have an Echo1, we arent going to ban you from the team :)

I have some issues i'd like to address:

why would you call yourselves rangers if you are modeling after a SEAL team. is there some kind of story or reason behind that?

my BIGGEST issue why is this team closed to us females? is this because of the "men are warriors women clean the house" mentality or has something happen to deter you from recruiting women?
it's not nice to hit girls
