WWII Weapons event Poll

Postby Manicotti Airsoft » Mon Apr 05, 2010 6:33 pm

We at Manicotti Events were discussing the possibility of running events to get the NW airsofters ready for WWII Airsoft
To Facilitate WWII Airsoft we would like to host events in which the participants construct (under our supervision) rifles such as Garands, Spring Mausers,Spring Mosins and Spring Kar98s

We have instructions for and the skills to help you build the rifles. The crux of the discussion is these events would be like $90-125 to attend per event(for the Spring guns) or $300ish for the Garand, the idea behind them is that you Walk away with a Functional close enough replica of a WWII Rifle

I said Mosin-Nagant because currently the only one available is 10x the price of a real steel one. But I think any bol action could do. For M1 you could just make clips that stock out of the magwell, it's been done before

I say the M1. Yes, you can make them out of m14's, and yes you can custom order them for around $500, but I think it would be very good for there to be a comporable alternative. And since the majority of WW2 events are allies vs. nazis, it would make a very good substitute for the thompsons and the occasional BAR.

Now, give me a mosin for less than a real one, and I'll be interested. :)

I voted for the M1 Garand, though I'd like to have an M1 Carbine.

Too bad MG34's are insanely expensive.

KAR98, to complete my German impression, and so I can have a spring rifle for winter.

And to answer your other question, I think that it would be a great idea to do a work shop. I'm curious though, would you be supplieing tools, parts, or anything? And would attendants need to supply the gun body & internals?

The Idea behind the events is you come, you bring yourself and MAYBE some tools IE Bondo Sand paper, coping saw
And you walk away from the event with a gun

yeah, I understood that. But would one attending this need to bring a complete VSR10/M14, and a stock/parts from a real rifle? Or would those parts be included in the price paid for admission?

I really don't know how it could be made any clearer.

That said, I would love to have a Garand or a KAR
