We need a CQB field in Longview!

Postby Spitfire » Sun May 12, 2013 8:46 pm

Does anyone agree? I always thought it sucked having to go an hour and a half just to get to play some decent CQB action. I, personally, think a field in Longview would do fairly well... If anything, they'd make all their money off of me. lol

An hour and a half drive to go play airsoft? Man.. That's gotta be brutal.

Think realistically. Not sarcastically.

How is suggesting a field that would allow players that don't have a steady source of income, or players that don't want to drive most of the day to play, considered a selfish act? I didn't suggest a field that you guys should build where I will run around shooting targets while you feed me grapes and wipe my a$$ with 100 dollar bills, did I?

I didn't? Hell! I thought I did. Glad to know I'm being such a selfish ignoramus! Nothing like suggesting something good and being called stupid for it! Maybe I should suggest ending world hunger next. What other selfish acts can I do to impress everyone?!

No, but more seriously. If you and your buddies could drive half the distance to hit up a fairly decent place, wouldn't you? Of course you would! Gas is $4 a gallon now, with the gas that you save you could practically buy a LPAG to hit the next kid that suggests a fairly local airsoft field with.

Tacoma tactical is an hour north, and Oregon Airsoft Arena is an hour south. Man, it sucks to be you.

Yeah, I can barely get myself out of bed in the morning knowing that the fields are so far away.

I've always wanted something closer to home. Scappoose was awesome, the farm was even better. And a longview field would do well since there is plenty of players in cowlitz and columbia counties, and we could get away from the weird portlanders :P

But on a side note, we do have a small field (18acres) in Rainier for friends, meet up with us at a game, or somehow so we can make sure your not an idiot and trustworthy and we'll invite you up.

When did an hour and a half drive, turn into most of the day?

When I first started playing, we walked 4 hours through the snow to field uphill.... both ways.

Thank you for being civil and actually giving some decent points, mate.
I'd love to come hit up airsoft with you guys sometime! How do I prove my level of maturity/idiocracy to you? haha

why dont you go to manchester brothers and get them to host a game at their power line paint ball field in castle rock. its 30 min from longview. the two are affiliated with each other. my dad lives down the road and the last time i rolled by their the field was still up.

http://www.manchesterbrothers.com/index_3.htm this is only 1/3 of the field. its narrow but....

its not CQC but im sure you could get them looking

I drive an hour every Saturday to get to most of our fields in Idaho. Then I drive up to the games up here on occasion, average time being a 6 hour drive. I live for that shit.
