Interest in playing in Rainier Oregn????

Was wondering if there was any interest from local players on playing in Rainier? We have a field there we've been using for a year or more now. Many trails, a fort or two, mostly woods. This is on private property, and access to the game would mainly be an invite only type of thing since we don't want just everyone to show.

The games are limited in size to around 30 players since the field itself is only 20 acres. It is hilly, but not enough that myself can't do it, so anyone else should be fine

We do allow father/son groups to play, but they must not be too young, 10 usually is the lowest we go since our own kids have plenty of experience in playing there. These are only for fun type of games, we aren't milsim, or l33t operators. We play to have a good time and get some exercise. We don't take ourselves serious, but we do have set rules and waivers, we follow AP standards on everything for game rules. Safety and fun is our concern. We also do chrono our replicas. A similar setting would be the old scappoose field, just not as large, and not as large of trees. Those type of games are what we like to do, layed back fun.

I'm just seeing if anyone in the Longview/Rainier columbia county area would want to play on some saturday/sunday's. We aren't too sure yet about opening the field up to too many people as my buddy lives there, parking is at his house, so that's why the limited invite only thing would happen.

Let me know if you would be interested, cost is free, games are usually around 4 hours or so. We have maps and such. Acting like an adult is a must. D-bags need not apply.

I'll talk to Swede, who is the property owner more about this. We talked last night about it and wanted to see what the interest would be. He's concerned with having strangers at his home is all, that's why the invite only type of thing.


We usually try to play at least once per month. We are playing sunday, but that wont be part of this. I'll do a PM in days to come to those interested about it more. Should be some fun.

There is always interest in a new field. Tell the field owner to not worry too much, people dont usually shazaam around the houses much. Not to mention, those people will get their asses kicked by the field owners AND the players for potentially ruining the field.

I think the field is good, that's why i'm here asking if people would drive that far. It's not huge, it wont support a ton of players, but i've played with 20 people and walked around the whole thing without seeing anyone before.

And it something to worry about having people you don't know coming your your home. That's why this place will never be an open game, invite only. We've had people come from Salem to play and they had a blast. Just don't want people thinking that they can show up at anytime to play is all.

Thanks for the interest. I'll work up a list of names, i know most of you, or met you at one time or another. I'll set up a time in the next month or so in between AP listed games and get a pm out to you guys. Also, this would be a good place for teams to train with an opposition force to go up against.

I talked to a couple of people today at the expo about this. I think we are going to set up a game in the next month or so. Something in between AP games.

I'll be sending pm's out to find out the best dates and times for everyone in the next week or two. We would like to get as many out to fill the field up to make the trip worth while. Plus dry or less rainy weather will be helpful.

Okay, it's been a while since i talked about this. With most of the weekends having big games, or skirms lately there really wasn't a good time to invite people out.

But we are having a game this weekend the 18th in Rainier. This is an invite only game, as we are not open to just anyone coming, We would like to have met you before at a game, and know your not a total D-bag lowlife This is at a private home and would like to keep it private for the most part.

If you would like to come, and/or I've talked to you about it in the past, send me a pm and we can talk. I will give directions and a field map also. This will be a casual late afternoon game starting at 3pm to catch the cooler evening weather, probably playing close to dark.
