Airsoft Games?

Postby Catch22 » Sat Sep 11, 2010 10:22 pm

1. Are there alot of people that have airsoft games or skirmishes in Oregon, that don't post about them on AP?

2. If yes. Why don't you post them?

3. Do you consider every game posted on AP, to be an "Official AP" game?

I know of a couple groups in my area, but not really enough to go into great depth. What I know; they host what I interperet as weekly decent skirmishes, such as you'd see at the farm or ABT, but they don't attend AP events (a member of one of these groups keeps saying he'll attend this and that and then doesn't show up, real shocker, huh). Anyways, the few people I've met from these groups are actually respectable people in terms of behavior and maturity, and I would think would make great additions to any roster. Sorry for getting slightly off-track. I will get in contact with these people if you'd like me to either get them to come to events or to get them to post something about their skirms and such.
Please, I insist.

I meet people at games all the time that don't even have an account on AP. They just show up to OPs. Some of those players are cool and I wish they would be more active in this community. Others I want to beat with a hammer for not following the rules. But the good apples are more common it seams.

ANYWAY. WTF? Just post your games on AP you Bastards! /rant

1. Yes

2. Very few people want to come down for a game, and AP is viewed mainly as a northern oregon/washington based site..at least down here it is. Why post an announcement for a game when nobody cares?

3. Mostly - alot of people down here have the belief (From what I've heard around/overheard in conversation) that AP is the mainstream 'host' for games in the area, and IS the bar when it comes to safety rules, velocity rules, etc.

There are alot that I hear about through other people, they probably don't post them cause the people that put them on are not well known so they figure people won't want to come. I do not view them all as "big AP events".

I know a group of people who put on private games that I attend.

They do not post them on AP because they are well, private. That and they don't want to draw in some of the AP crowd.

Not perticularly, I tend to look at who posts the games and decide if I wish to attend off of who is putting it together. Like Nox, AP has set the standard though for games and it is a good standard as far as rules go.
