Riot shields don't stop bullets. Ballistic shields do.

That shield isn't close to heavy enough... And as Matt said it is technically a ballistic shield (a riot shield wouldn’t save you from jack in terms of guns).

Otherwise interesting video. 8)

On that note, does anyone know what the average weight of a ballistic shield actually is and how much stress it can take 'till it shatters?

We had a list of average dimensions and weights for CQC competitions.

20" X 34" = 4.75 SqFt = ~14lbs
24" X 36" = 6.00 SqFt = ~18.5lbs
24" X 48" = 8.00 SqFt = ~24.5lbs
22" x 51" = 7.80 SgFt = ~24lbs

If I remember right we went with the low end to cut everybody a break, so your heavily armored shields might be even heavier.

That's not a shield. . .

Now that's a shield. Pretty sure it came out to be about 38lbs of goodness. :D

It was a team effort, of which I only played a small part in.

Oh, and yes, it is Pedonitas. Because normal Pedobear just wasn't hardcore enough to be on a "ballistic" shield.

Excuse me, I need to go light myself aflame. That is a mistake I never expected myself to make.
