What is every infantry type in airsoft and what do they do

Hi,
I am pretty new to airsoft (at least the team part) and I need help figuring out every type of infantry.

This is airsoft, there aren't any classes. Buy a gun you can be happy with and play.

but categories dont matter at all

In airsoft there aren't classes. Sometimes there are jobs, like medic, squad leader, platoon leader, engineer, but they all depend on what is called for in the game type.

That being said, everyone is a rifleman.

Recon - carries a sniper rifle can drop mortar strikes and has motion sensors.

Medic - carries a machine gun, can drop health packs and use defibrillator paddles to revive fallen teammates

Engineer - carries an SMG and either anti tank rockets or mines. also has a repair tool for fixing damaged vehicles

Haven't played BF2 in awhile, but I love that game...

That's actually BF:BC2, which while fun is not a true successor to the BF2 crown.

But in honor of BF2, here's that class list:

Anti Tank - SMG, anti tank missiles
Assault - assault rifle, Grenade launcher, smoke grenades
Engineer - Shotgun, wrench, mines, grenades
Medic - assault rifle, med packs and shock paddles, grenades
Sniper - Sniper rifle, claymores, grenades
Spec Ops - Carbine, C4, grenades
Support - machine gun, grenades, ammo bags

Doh. When I stared I thought this was so cool because it was like real-life Halo. Still do, too. Does that make me a bad person?
Tim was right, there's really just infantry, infantry driving a pickup truck, and admins. There are several roles, but they aren't usually mutually exclusive. I've seen people do four at once, and I've run rescue ops to get downed people to the medics as the CO before.
It gets ugly because technically you aren't expendable, but it works. Just don't get shot.
