Hopefully those fancy HSLD Alphabet guys will let you take a pic of them wearing that stuff before you leave.

Anyhoo, checking against Zarina's pricing here's some help when you get to the bazaar...
Pakol (Afghan hat) in coffee/dark chocolate brown color, black or green = no more than $15 (shoot for $10)
Dismaal (Afghan scarf) in a dark earth-tone color = no more than $10 (shoot for $5)
Payraan Tumbaan (traditional men's clothes) in a nice dark green or coffee color size small (something that would fit your size) = no more than $25 (shoot for $20). Honestly this will probably end up being a pattern for future clothes, so you can even go super-cheap.

If you find Gorkas sized 50-3, or 50-4 for Russkie might as well make it a 2nd set for me (I need the larger size since I'm a fatty :( ) = No more than $110

Hope you're enjoying Germany. See you when you get back. :)

I am very much interested in this as my current loadout consists of blue jeans and a black hoodie and as well I'm attempting to set up a team that will be running multicam. As of late I've been constantly torn as to which piece of gear is most important to buy when I have the money to spend on it. I'd be more than happy to post a picture should i be chosen. My sizing is 38x30 (lg reg has always fit well whenever I've borrowed at games). Thank you very much for the opportunity and for your consideration.

You are all very welcome! I feel as many of the other military Vets here its something we should do to foster a strong and helpful community. Just doing my part. Also if you have a team of people needing uniforms each individual must post a description. I will not accept a blanket application as it would pose too many logistical and possible integrity violations.

Integrity is key to this. A breach of integrity will void any future give away opportunities.

Android thanks for the research and I will use that as a baseline. Russkie we will be in touch.

I didnt even know Ryan had tried to enter our friends until I read all the way through this, Sorry Snake_eyes.

Either way, Id like to put in my own application.
App:

I own only one thing of multi-cam, a helmet cover given to me for free, as it is unseemingly expensive, and I too, am becoming a college student this Fall. Thus, money is quite tight, and im trying to hold on to airsofting with everything I have, since it's whats been keeping me sane! My current loadout consists of:
OD Condor vest decked to the gills in OD pouches
full MARPAT BDU's
Tan G&G raider
OD green Boonie
black fingerless gloves
Black boots
what I dont wear:
a nice MICH 2000 helmet with a multi-cam helmet cover.

Im currently scrounging gear for my girlfriend to play as well, and I have a USGI infantry set that I dyed to an OD color for her. Anything that can help me pass on more gear to her, I'll be happy with. This is the sport I love, and I want her to participate in it. I wouldnt say I DESERVE a set, but it would certainly help me out with my future airsoft purchases and looking pretty on the field haha. Im a bit of a collector, and I dont sell Issued gear, so no problems there.

As far as standing within the community, Im friendly with pretty much everyone, as well as some of the more well known players on AP, and as far as I know, they're friendly to me as well. I dont pay much attention to garnering my own reputation, so I dont know the specifics.

My sizing is a 29-32 waist, and a regular on the inseam, or a little longer. Chest size is small, but I can wear a medium top with no problem. I do have long arms though.

If given a set, I have no problems taking some pictures wearing it for you!

Thank you for doing this give-away with your buddies, Its a great opportunity for the community!
Remember folks, It's all Bullshit.

Jon Keep in mind these are Soviet Gorka's, not the new Russian military SPOSN Gorka's. They only come in full Russian OD. The Soviet one's are not as well made and are really more for collecting or 80-90's impressions. SPOSN costs a good $20-30 more. Reference this page for details. http://ra.spetsnaz.su/wiki/Gorka

Your size would be something like a 52-4, maybe even a 54-4. The first number stands for the width of the uniform. 48-50 is about a U.S. Medium. 52-54 is about a U.S. Large (54 is pushing X-Large though). The second number is the height. 1 is 158cm, 2 is 164 cm, 3 is 170 cm, 4 is 176 cm, etc.

Thank you for the clarification, Russkie. Please change my request to "SPOSN GORKA-E" in 52-4. I guess no more than $150? I'd still be possibly interested in an old-school Gorka in the mentioned size though.

Snake, this is one heck of an opportunity.
Now, I know I'm not all that high on the totem pole here on AP, so I feel somewhat reluctant to even ask this.
I'd personally like a Pakol, Brown of course, but it has to be in the rough equivalent of a size 62 (7 3/4). Yes, I have a fat head, and yes, most of it is air.
Please, contact me on the price range, and I'd love to pay top dollar for whatever your bring.

.. Plus CCCP stuff?
I'd definitely like to work with you on that as well.
I'd tell you to be careful. It's not the Tank you need to fear.
It's Slumberman

UPDATE!

I went to our boardwalk/bazaar and talked with my Pashtun friends. They are going to see what prices they can get for traditional Afghan garb. It seems the majority of you that want it are shooting for the Paktol hate as opposed to the dressier alternative. The thing about Afghan Paktols here is that they are one size and you roll it until it fits then pat it down. They do have some rough sizes but its all guess-timations.

The Russian gear I can only buy in Manas Kyrgyzstan. I will literally be there at a maximum 48hrs but probably (ideally) much much less, we are talking less than a day. This limits my time. Also anything that won't get past customs (Knives, bullets, etc) I can't take. I'll see what I can do but what I make a list of top 5 things (reasonable people) and I will do my best to get that from the list. Think easily packed, I'm only one man and 4 duffels full of stuff just isn't going to happen.

Also keep in mind I want to do this AGAIN! I will be working with National Guard, Army Reserve and Active duty contacts to get donations for uniforms. I'm also working on getting a group of Veterans as a mentorship program ala Boy Scouts but with Airsoft for a mentorship (Think Big Brother/Big Sister style)

UPDATE!!!
Got 2 Pairs of Medium Short Multicam from a generous 82nd Paratrooper! Hes scrouging for some more for you all!

You know - I thought long and hard about getting in on this, but I finally decided it doesn't hurt to throw in my hat. Worst that happens is I get told no. =p

So currently, I wear:
3326
Marpat Patrol cap -or- Boonie
UTG Marpat vest
Tru-spec branded Marpat jacket and pants (until I blew the crotch out) -OR- OD 'flight' coveralls.

I've been in and out and around the community for quite a while, but with having a son and dividing my time with family and work, I've been pretty rare to find at events and skirmishes recently. I want to fix that, and I wanna come back in STYLE! 8)

Floating around here somewhere in the galleries is a picture of me from a billion years ago in my OD flightsuit, with paintball gloves and a UTG MP5 up in the cold of Scapoose. Good times... but that's how it starts right? Wearing cheap crap, armed with cheap crap, attending the free games in the cold!

Bahaha - Found one from the first public Florence game =p
16390

Sizes: Jacket is Large-regular and honestly a smidgen small, Waist 38, Inseam 32. I'd love a matching cover too, but I totally understand the limited quantities and I'm thankful just to have the oppertunity.

Thanks Snake - It's pretty epic what your doing :D

Re: Multicam Give Away from Afghanistan

Hello,
My name is Gannon, I usually work towards Marine loadouts, but I would love to have a U.S. Army one in something other than UCP.
I usually run a tan IBA, Echo1 M16A3 with M203, Woodland MARPAT BDUs, a PASGT or Mich 2001, and Okaley gloves. I'm a fan of how Multicam works in the field, and I would be very happy to get a pair. My waist size is 31" and my inseam is ~32" (Small - Regular). It would be awesome to get a set of Multicam and match the team I'm on. The only downside is I leave to boot camp in October, so I won't be able to use it for ~6 months, in this time however I would loan it out to a friend of mine who is about the same size as me. If I'm chosen to get a set, I would happily have my picture taken in full loadout.

Thanks for the opportunity.

Gannon P.
