Simulating Razorwire and Hesco walls

Are you gonna take all this crap down after you set it up? Sounds like a bunch of garbage to me. I'm not sure I would want that on my land if I were a landowner. Random bailing wire? Old housing insulation? I think something that's easy to setup and easy to tear down might be your best bet.

Hescos are just big metal panels with burlap bags inside of them. You could probably get metal grating of some sort. Basically, you are looking for wire panels that look like this:

When you have a bunch of the panels, just zip-strip them together into open-topped boxes. Drop a couple of cinder blocks in the corners to keep them from moving too much. If you want to go all gung-ho, build wooden tables that sit inside them on 4x4 legs for support, spray paint the tops mud brown, and call it good. For liners, you can probably use landscaping burlap. The thick erosion control stuff that is dirt cheap and comes on bazillion-foot rolls. Pretty sure that is what the Hescos are made of to begin with.

Razorless razor wire is the easier part. You basically need the posts, some stakes, a heavier gauge wire, some zip strips, and some 550 cord. Put your posts in. Then run a line of 550 cord between the posts 3' high and a second line 6' high. The bottom coil of wire gets staked every so often and zip-stripped to the 3' high line of 550 cord, and attached to the posts. The second layer gets zip stripped to the 3' and 6' lines of 550 cord and attached to the posts.

If you are truly evil, attach razor wire to the outside of your Hesco walls. That does wonders to keep unwanted visitors away. Any way you do it, it's going to take a good bit of prep work before you hit the site, or a good bit of time on-site setting the FOB up. Maybe it would be easier to see if you can get your hands on already f'ed up Hescos and just bend them back into useability and replace the liners with landscaping burlap.
