Sci-Fi themed events?

Discuss anything and everything here that's Airsoft related.

There's a very rich alternative history in Harry Turtledove's books. It wouldn't take much to start a series of OPs based on them. There's also a ton of Sci-Fi set in "now" but with alien invasions (that use human troops). A very rich and untapped source of games, I think.

The Manicotti events are fun. I'm looking forward to the fallout game as well.

We have zombie events every Halloween.

Would Stargate just have a smaller force in solid Navy Blue uniforms with P90's versus big black dudes in eyeliner?

Ogre you are awesome. I love Turtledove's work. The Great War was my fav. book series.

I was partial to the WWII series. Given that the first trilogy ended with the aliens being in control and at peace with human governments (I haven't made it to the Colonization books yet), it'd be easy to extrapolate that to an OP. If you haven't read it, Footfall is also a good read--modern, alien invasion done with good science behind it.

But, yeah, Turtledove is great. A historian that writes alternative history. F'in' great.

Half-Life?

I forgot to comment on this.

No, I don't mean Half-Life. Go read a book.

Try Hulu too.

Anyways, I think I remember seeing a Stargate based event photo album from a British game. They even had staff weapons that worked fairly close to the "real" things. I want to say they tore down AK's for the barrels and guts.
