OH NO! THE TERRORISTS ARE GOING TO SHOOT US ALL WITH A WE M4 AND REAL AR PARTS...oh nevermind, I geuss it's a real AR with WE m4 parts. I lol'ed at the last quote: "let them have their toys, as long as they stay toys". They obviously did NO research whatsoever on airsoft. They are NOT considered toys they are training weapons/replicas that cannot fire live ammo. I wonder if people from the ATF or any of these news companies ever read these threads?

I would orgasm if Mythbusters did something on this.. I love Mythbusters and would like to see for myself what they would do to try to make a airsoft gun fire live ammo.

Most people play with airsoft guns and use them as toys, to have fun.

If you can show me a group that uses them to train with, they I would call them maybe "Tools" in that regard.

Ban the cutting boards before the terrorists get a hold of them.

Its EASILY convertable to a machine gun, just drill a few holes.

Actually, airsoft replicas are specifically categorized as 'Toys' for their Harmonized Tariff Code when imported into the United States, hence why they require an orange tip. It was US Customs who started this whole mess because they follow what they interpret as the letter of the law, not the spirit. Thus, when the import documents state they are toys then its their job to determine that they really are. It is the individual inspector's sole judgment if something in question is flagged for further inspection, which is what happened here.

And no... the ATF or Fox News do not read airsoft forums.

It's to bad that some of the more clearly written responses on Faux New's website are endcapped with "Damn Obama trying to sabotage our rights, where is my tinfoil hat!?"

UH...WRONG. the alphabet police watch sights like this like a hawk. I have personally had FBI/ATF/ICE agents mention this sight to me.

Local company that uses airsoft for training both civilians and police.

I have graduated the multi day advanced course, and I DARE YOU to call Rich Daniel a tool.

I'm pretty sure he is referring to the use of airsoft guns as "training tools", not that the people who train with them are tools.

Ah, I should have phrased it "Rants from citizens not old enough to buy firearms do not sway their opinion"

Did anyone else find it absolutely appalling that this "gun maker" insists you can make a working firearm out of cardboard and scotch tape?
