Plus wearing a SAS beret is a bit like wearing a Ranger beret. I wouldn't do it because I haven't earned it.

Also, the SAS beret is beige, not maroon. And it hasn't been since 1958.

ok here is what you do you stick a big yellow flag in your back that sticks up about 4 feet above your head that way your team mates will know where you are and also the bad guys will know who shot them you you will whip out your airhorn and give it a couple good blasts everytime you get a kill and dont worry about moving with the big flag on your back because you will get a minigun and just wander down the road killing all the little birdies and terrorists hiding in the bushes
hope this helps

I wouldn't suggest a Resident Evil loadout :D I remember seeing a guy running around in 80 degree sun wearing all black and a gas mask. Needless to say his signature look about killed him.

That could be one of my guys... LOL... He still runs around wearing that %&*@ mask! Can't see how he can stand it. But it is something he likes to wear. If he is happy and having a good time then do what ever as long as it isn't breaking the rules.

This was about three years ago down in Grants Pass. He was part of a team of three guys all with variations of the same thing. It's possible but they were all from Ashland I believe.

A good way to get noticed fast... don't call your hits! It's that simple. But for the love of women that look good in spandex don't do that! Instead...

Play with as much honor as you can muster. When in doubt, call yourself out (that's pretty simple, too). And remember, have fun! You do those things and you'll definitely stand out. The camo and the gear will come, believe me. If you're like the rest of us you'll spend the next 7 to 10 years buying and changing camo's and gear. Then you'll glance back and cringe at the hundreds, maybe even thousands, of dollars you doled out for airsoft.

Good luck,

Oops, sorry my mistake about the beret, I meant the red to maroon stands for the airbourne. And who cares Cameron, if I'm wearing a maroon beret or tan beret, as long as I'm not saying "ya I went through the hell of Afghanistan, I served 3 tours of duty and got the medel of honor," then I am not doing anything wrong.
And It's just a game lad, we dress up in our best camo, grab our guns, get a friend or two, jump in van or car, and go have fun.

Also, what Rentex said, that makes sense, that has to do with being hit and what not, so it's understandable.

Wearing a hat isn't the same thing as claiming to be what it represents. We're all wearing multicam, AOR1/2, woodland but we're not claiming to be Navy SEALs or Delta etc. :P If you want to have a beret do it as part of your uniform and don't claim to be something you're not.

Be smart about what to spend on a loadout if you're sure you want to do this. Look for deals, if you arrive that you want a LBT 6094 then do some research and don't spend ~$350 and instead look for the AWS OPC. Don't buy the cheapest cause it's what you can afford. Save your money and the end quality will be worth it. Don't be afraid to ask to try other peoples vests and such. I had a Condor MOPC which is "pretty close" to a LBT 6094, this is before they came out with the Gunner Lightweight and Sentry PCs which are strange combinations of the DBT FAPC, LBT 6094 and JPC, and the center area was too big for my puny shoulders. After I got rid of it I got a TMC 6094 and that problem vanished. Good luck with the load out!

Wearing a beret is quite a bit different from wearing camo. But if no one gives you shit for it, then go for it. I just wouldn't do it.

Also, don't call me lad. I'm 8 years older than you, kid.

Well, I see that this thread has kind of become a discussion on whether wearing a beret is appropriate or not, but regardless, if all I gotta do to get recognized is call my hits than I guess I'm set. With the guns I'm used to taking your opponents or teammates word for it is about all you can do in most situations. Though I hate to boast because I'd rather just show it on a field, so I hope to see you guys on the field.

And thanks Cruz, I was already thinking about doing something like that as either a shoulder patch or back patch, and since I got the skill I'd make my own, but we'll see if I ever get around to it.
Those who say it can't be done are just getting in the way of the people who are doing it.

Watch the Mad Max movies first then think about setting up your kit, you'll be so much cooler, trust me. EVERYONE is a Act of Valor commando nowadays, go the cool route.

This guy. If you wanna be another dude toting around an M4 with more attachments and rails then humanly possible to actually use wearing your multicam with plate carrier and be another faceless minion in the sea of everyone's the same super commando operator. And I mean if that's what you want, that's okay man. Granted, this douchebag is part of the problem with airsoft nowadays: If you don't have a kit based off The Hurt Locker, you aren't in with the cool kids. And it's just all kind of fashion show hate from there.

Wear what you want, whats comfortable for you, and most of all what you like to use. Same thing goes with the gun man.
