The ContourHD is nice. H264 codec and 5MP cmos. Good stuff. Expensive, but you get what you pay for.

they should make a helmet cam that goes on a NVG mount, so it doesnt look so ugly.

Well Matt....maybe this way I can see my "awsomness" on video. LOL I have enough spending money I may be able to afford it.

If I can, then I will have all kinds of footage for those "media hounds" to use in videos.

Thats 1080 HD is $60 extra. Didn't know if it would actually be worth it.

It's probably not even really that much of a difference once you compress footage for the web.

One thing I wonder about the ContourHD is just how durable the lens protector is. It's a one in a million chance buy a really good hit from a BB could turn your helmet camera into a $300 paperweight.

I thought of that too....would be fairly easy to get some Ballistic Plastic and make a cover for the lense.
