I did a quick search on their website, the $8 water is Nestle brand, but I usually pick up Kirkland brand for around $4-$5 a pack.

In basic we had an ogden cord (spelling??). A simple length of 550 cord that had a knot for every canteen we drank that day. That might be something to throw into the hydration ideas?

Give a man a fish, and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish, and you feed him for a lifetime.

Give a man a fire he'll be warm for a night, set a man on fire he'll be warm for the rest of his life.

Another thing is salt. When you sweat you lose your bodies salt as well as its water. You you can be drinking a ton of water and still pass because you haven't been replacing the salt you lose. This actually just happened to my auntie while she was gardening.
So I always bring things like chips and nut to keep to going.

Abe, your soaking up way too much of that inscrutable oriental wisdom stuff over there.

I've got the perfect idea: salt water.

actually, it's recomended if lost at sea to mix your fresh water with salt water, one part salt water to three parts freshwater. it will not only extend your water supply 133% but it will also add salt to your body causing it to retain more water. without salt your blood doesn't carry water efficiently and you dehydrate whether you have water or not. possibly experiment with different salt concentrations in water to find one that tastes fine or doesn't taste at all and just fill up huge containers or hundreds of empty plastic bottles with salt/tap water. cheap, and possibly effective. may require testing to be sure it helps enough, but over time it could become very helpful.
forgive my ignorance, it happens to everyone.

An idea for Trip' Tango, perhaps?

Yes, I just shamelessly promoted my own Youtube channel...

Bad idea, after exercising, if you drink salt water, you will probably throw up.

Before an event begins, salt water would be good for you though. (I believe)

Or you could eat salty foods and drink water (ie cheeze-its).

well i only heard about using the salt water trick at sea, where you probably won't be doing anything strenuos aside from surviving.
