And sometimes, that 1/4 second means the difference between hitting a moving target and missing behind it.

The arena I play at has a fps limit of 350 and it is much more flexible. I for example downgrade all my guns towards the 350 mark and it leaves me alot of freedom in regards of playing outdoors and indoors.

I believe that when tactac was about to open, they had a vote for either 300 or 330 fps. And people chose 300. Also with 330 fps you pay extra for insurance, correct me if I'm wrong...

That is correct, 300 was chosen for insurance purposes.

Well both are some what correct. The fps limit form the start has been 300fps or 1J of energy and that was what Tacoma Tactical's insurance would cover for. However later on there was a vote put up for 330fps which was declined by the majority of the attendees due to the fact that the admission would be greatly increased to help cover the cost of the higher insurance costs.

And really I do not know why it is that people are viewing TacTac in such a bad light. While it is true that they have had one or two bad employees, and the chronographing of rifles has been lacking recently. However Jason has in fact dealt with the employees and from personal experience He has been nothing but helpful to the airsofters in the pacific north west. So for you guys to attack and so call boycott tac tac is done in your own selfish nature and really it is simply your loss.

Also as a comment on the cheaters. Every airsoft organization has them and even with refs it is impossible to catch them all. Especially for the situation that is tactac. The fact is even if tactac had ten refs they still would not be able to catch everything due to the many rooms and angles. It is simply humanly impossible.

Well, the majority of western Washington seems to be able to cope with the severe inconvenience of having to lead a target a couple more inches....

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. This kid speaks for the majority of western wa.?
Seriously:
shazaam man you can play Neo in "The Matrix" with 300 fps!!! The problem is alot of players from here have been using the AP fps set for years and they have spent money and time getting their guns to run on the raged edge of 330. And there are several of us players here who dont even have a gun that shoots close to 300. Hell my pistol shoots hotter than that out of the box. How do you downgrade a pistol or do you not chrono those?....
The insurance we used for the missile base would allow up to 350fps indoor. It didn't cost us anything extra, as a matter of fact we researched quite a few insurance companies and found few to none that had different rates for different fps rules. In fact they were quite adamant about their current limits. Almost all were at the 350 fps indoor mark. This was a couple of years ago though so some of this may be a tad outdated, but I doubt it. Look harder, make some calls. If you want this crowd to show you will have to increase limits. If you have a big enough player base already and don't need AP's huge player base then rock on.
Jokingly:
I will come up in Dec when the cold will not let the gas expand in the mag properly. That will allow me to fit under your rules.
Jason just make sure we know the game is on...last time you didnt tell us and Trevor (Hellcat's Doc)shot me in the tool with you standing there, talking to me, telling me how you will insert us into the game and then POW my whole life flashed in front of my eyes... I know, I know, he gets to be the sniper because of his ability to hit such a small target

On a side note where did Ranger Warren go?

Agreed. Its kinda hard to find new AEGs under 300 fps and I don't like messing with internals.

Dissagreements, opinions, arguments, bad refs, okay, it sucks when it happens. Best thing to do is just not support a business you don't like.

This though, sheesh,

He wasn't shooting 390. He was shooting around 350 and he has been there before with the same gun shooting under limits so we didn't re-chrono his gun. Because of this we re-chrono every time now which just adds to the amount of time it takes to get set up because people want to cheat.

We regularly spot check guns during game play. Many times people complain about a gun shooting too hot and we chrono it and it is fine. One group swore up and down that one person in particular was shooting too hot. We chrono'd his gun 4 times - 298, 299, 300, 299.
