Actually it is very relevant.

This hobby has room for everyone at every level. There are kids in sneakers who are 14 and have their first Aftermath gun. They use ammo from Big 5 and they have fun outside and it's good.

There are people who have more gear than a real Special Operations soldier, and half or most of it is real deal stuff.

But the main deal here is the fact that if you force players to use the ammo at your field, you should give them more options than just top of the line. Every large game Rick has contains elements all across the spectrum. These are people that actually go out and play. People that provide bodies to fill games, to allow Rick to host future games.

And since this post is about SniperzDen, it has a lot to do with larger games, and games that Rick hosts. When was the last time you went to one of his games? 2010? I don't think you've even been out to play in a couple years, and have posted that you don't plan on coming out anytime soon.

Also to make sure that we are sourcing field ammo in such a way that we could keep prices down (far down as reasonable). My goal is to be able to provide you with field ammo at a very competitive price. I am closely monitoring the pricing situation and will do my very best to provide you with affordable quality ammo. The goal is the $15 price point. I am also looking at premium brands only.

$15 a bag is a very fair price range to hit. Compare it among other online retailers and local ones. When I sold ammo before that was the price point I generally tried to stay within though it did increase gradually due to shipping costs. Why will I only do premium ammo? Because if a BB jam breaks your gun, who do you think gets blamed? I do, I have been down that route before and then because of a single issue, other local retailers like AONW start spreading rumors that you sell crappy ammo. True Story.

So to make sure situations like this never happen again and to make sure players will not face issues with bb quality, I will not sacrifice quality over profit/cost but this also means that I have a duty to be ethical and make sure that I serve the best interests of the player if forced to buy my ammo. This will be a responsibility among the other hosts that will be hosting there in 2013

My biggest issue, as I'm sure other's issue is, is the fact that spending twice as much for ammo that's "bio" (~$25 for a good bag of 5k) plus $30-$40 game fees. not to mention gas, kinda takes away from the fun of a game. End up spending ~$70? for an airsoft game. Then only actually play for ~6hrs.... Those 6hrs would just need to be damn amazing, which they quite often aren't. I love airsofting, but I don't love spending a small fortune per game.

Nobody ever said that but I understand impairment can make you believe things that did not happen.

If you sold ammo and it screws someones gun up chances are they are going to phony pony about it. then sometimes claims about the quality of ammo that was sold gets thrown around even though it affected 1 person out of the hundreds you sold to. It did happen and has happened. We want to avoid this more by not selling a inferior or known lesser quality product if its the product you have to buy to play at the field or not.

This has nothing to do with your sensational comment about the cross. It's about being aware, responsible and looking out for the players.

your right this hobby as room for people at most levels. frankly though this is about sniperzden. if someone feels that they cant afford a game and gas and a 5 dollar difference in BBs they should not attend.

I have played since 2010 and look forward to activity here in bellingham when I have time. my participation does not impact the opinion that if a variance of 5 dollars for BBs bars players from attending the game that its not the cost of BBs at fault.

everyone here that goes to games does so out of their own pocket.

That means that after eight games you'll have paid enough for an extra game. Get it? It's not, "BOOHOO! Five dollars! I can't go!" It's, "I'd really like to streamline and make cost-effective this sport we all enjoy."

like I said, no one forces you to attend a game.

When you get right down to it. the field owner is endeavoring to do what it takes to both accommodate airsofters and continue to operate our hobby. If people really cared about that then the bio ammo thing wouldn't be an issue.

Whats being missed is that this is not a situation like the majority of paintball games/events where you have to buy ammo EVERY SINGLE TIME. We allow you to use any leftovers from your field ammo bag. So if you are buying 4000rds and only use an average of 1000 rds a game, you essentially have 3 games worth of field ammo left that you can decide to use or save. If you are shooting ammo, then you are buying ammo somewhere.

Also the price will be approx $15 which is lower than anyone else's bio (shipped or local) that I am aware of. So this also becomes a cost saving measure because you could buy ammo from me and save yourself money and always be field compliant.

I've also considered going to 2000rd bags. The consensus on one of the other threads I started talked about how many rounds people were shooting. It looked as though 2000rds or less seemed to be the average. So obvisouly split $15 in half and you got $7.50 or $8 per bag (to make it a even amount)

However if we paved you a perfect road, someone would still find something to phony pony about. So I will take into consideration what is being said and devise a solid plan and though I hate to say this but if then still you have issues, you don't have to come to games at Sniperzden but I hope you do for my games and all the other hosts.

Your statement is flawed because you are not purchasing ammo every game at sniperzden per say though I understand the logic you were trying to us. You would only be purchasing more field ammo if you run out. Thats purely up to you and your playing style. However as a consumable, if you are using ammo, then you are running out of ammo as well which in turn means you have to purchase more somewhere. If someone is offering you 2000rds for $8 or 4000rds for $15 and seems to be below the industry average of $18+ then that doesn't sound like a bad deal at all (in my mind at least).

...also, while accurate, your statement about increases is logically flawed. Talking about a 12.5% increase, and how horrible that is, makes it sound horrible. Really, though, in actual amounts, it is $5. I'm willing to bet that most of the people reading this post spent more than that on lunch. Yesterday, I went to Taco Bell, where I see/hear many airsofters going to after games and spent $6.66 (yeah, true story). If the cost was $1 and went to $2, would you complain about the 100% increase? See the flaw there?

I've got a budget, too. Mine is different than yours, but money still matters to me, too. We'll talk, for example, when you have to pay $900 a month in student loans. But this insipid whining over $5 is silly. Don't go out to eat after the game. Don't buy a beer when you go out to eat.

Riddick, your patience is amazing. Your willingness to continue a dialogue with a vocal, whining minority is amazing. It's probably what makes you good at putting on games. 7 pages ago I would have said, "Well, don't go, then." Your BB's are good quality and relatively inexpensive. You have my unequivocal support.
