Interesting Place in SOCAL

Postby Snowman » Wed May 25, 2011 3:51 pm

Just throwin' this out here, but this was just linked to me. Look's like an awesome place to go, but I hear it's pretty nasty there. I'll try to go take a look when I'm on vacation this summer.

That is where a national Fallout Game should be held!
My sword runs at 450 FPS, try to out run that! 35+ Sword/Knife Kills and counting.

I saw this place in the Movie Into the Wild. What jumped out at me was that colorful mountain.

I would LOVE to play there. Creepy as hell though. Holy Crap. That would be an experience, to say the least.

No you wouldn't, I can almost guarantee. It stinks like hell there, I heard (courtesy of the millions of dead fish). Plus, there's the issue of constant exposure to quantities of poison gas.

Aside from that, it would be pretty legit. Just find a desert nearby, get a ton of trucks, and cart all that stuff up here to the PNW.

Realistic reason to wear gas masks (lol)?

I like the whole "open field->CQB->Fallout/Half Life Immersion->CQB->MOUT->Shitting your pants because its creepy->open field" thing they have going. If only there was a place that, like you said, didn't smell like death and, well, death.

Salton City has actually been growing again in the past 2 years , the Cahuilla Indian Nation even built a casino down there , so more and more people are moving back .

Yeah, looks like population in 2000 was around 900, now it's closer to 4000.

Looks awesome but safety would have to be a key factor.
Also I found some pictures.
