Stolen Guns, Vancouver Wa.

Postby RiotingCows » Sat May 07, 2011 5:45 pm

Last night or early this morning someone got into my friends jeep.
They took an M4, M14, a hard case and his kids diaper bag. (No idea on the diaper bag)
Trying to get the word out for anyone who searches craigslist or any other site that doesn't have regulated sales.

The M4 is a Daniels Defense metal body with painted(tan) Moe Handguard, Grip, and Stock. The rest of the gun is standard black. It has a mosfet and is wired to deans. It has a dust cover from a Kwa M4a1 next to the hop up. Gun doesn't currently function. There was a 80rd Pmag in the gun at the time as well. No battery was taken.

The M14 is a G&G Soc 16 had a D-Boys RIS Modular Armor Rail Cover on the forward mount, the Operating rod on the M14 say "Socom 16 Made in Taiwan" Some only say Socom 16 so this may help in finding it. no battery or mag was taken with it, the gun still has it's original orange tip on it. Had chronoing zips on it when taken.

Rifle case is unbranded but is a 48" rifle case about 4" wide and 11" tall. Had a name label that read "Amy Wong" easily removed though so most likely gone.

The diaper bag, well its a pink diaper bag 16" long, 8" wide, and 12" tall, not sure why they would still have it but it might help.

Thank You for taking the time to look at this anything is helpful hopefully we can retrieve them or catch the person or peoples that did this.

Sounds like they knew what they were going for...people you know?
I would contact Law Enforcement; stolen firearms (or replica firearms) are bad.

No one that I know of, would be a horrible prank.
So far we think his kid hit the unlock button before he closed the door and some people street walking got into it. Only thing is its kinda random hit and his windows are tinted so they wouldn't have known until they got into the vehicle

replica firearms and a diaper bag. Those items are almost as random as when my dad and i bought shotguns shells, clay pigeons, HDMI cables, poptarts, shampoo, and a lava lamp from wally mart.

This is why I never leave my airsoft shit in my car. :/ Sorry to hear about that. Remember to call in to local pawn shops to see if they've got them and to tell them to keep an eye out for the stolen property. They don't generally appreciate people selling them stolen shit.

Near Fort Vancouver High School.

In there haste they may have thought it was a purse.

I'll have to look around, I'm not even positive where a pawn shop is but will do.

There's quite a few in the downtown area, right by Esther Short Park. There's at least three within about four blocks of each other.

So then what happens if your stolen goods are in the pawn shop?

You call the police and report that you found your items. They recover it from the shop, and the shop is in deep poo for taking in stolen items.

Someday someone may kill you with your own gun, but they should have to beat you to death with it because it is empty

Random note: It is generally your renters / homeowners insurance that covers stuff like this rather than your auto insurance. Not in every case, but as a general rule.

I know this because my laptop got stolen out of my car about 6 months ago, and the auto insurance paid for the new window, but the homeowners insurance covered the laptop (and backpack, and textbooks, etc).

I used to work at a shop that dealt in new & used computers. Unless things have changed in the intervening years, the shop doesn't generally get in trouble for unknowingly buying stolen goods. They can get in trouble for not collecting the proper data about the seller, such as name and address and ODL #, though. And they can get in trouble if an employee buys something personally at the shop without doing the paperwork (like if some guy walked in with a computer and I gave him cash to put it in the back of my car). And there is a minimum time that the shop has to hold stuff in the back before they can sell it. Mostly in case it comes back as stolen.

My cousin lives up in that area, so I will totally have him take a look around on Craigslist and just the area in general. Hope that helps

Sir , you are correct regarding the shops not getting into trouble. It is near impossible with airsoft guns as they do not have unique serial numbers. I will tell you from personal experience in dealing with pawn shop creatures. They get pretty pissy when the stuff they gave money on gets confiscated. As noted, just call the cops and let them deal with the pawn creatures.......

+1 on the police report. You need the number off the report for your insurance agent.
