Airsoft Shopping Trip

Postby Mikhail » Sat Jan 15, 2011 11:58 pm

I am driving through from Canada, and have the time to do some airsoft/military surplus browsing and shopping while in the Washington, Oregon area.

Here is my list of places to visit:

Mad Dog Paintball and Airsoft
Sir Plus Army Navy
92 Yankee Military Surplus
Extremez Airsoft
Oregon Airsoft Arena
Airsoft Outlet NW
US Tactical Supply

Did I miss anything worth checking out?

Anything here no longer around? Or not worth a visit?

I don't get to come down very often and just want to make the most of my trip.

Any input would be appreciated.

There are several surplus stores in the Lakewood area (not just 92Yankee). I would definitely recommend dropping by all of them, as I've found great stuff in all of them.

Extremez is shut down, unless there is more than one store.

Also, check out Tactical Tailor in Lakewood. Great new kit there.

Don't go to Andy & Bax... They just overprice new stuff, and don't have any used.

If you want to haul out to Damascus, Sgt. Gator's (or Alley Cat surplus, not sure of the "official" name) sometimes has interesting stuff for cheap. It's like other surplus places though - very hit and miss.

While your visiting 92Yankee make the rounds in Lakewood. Quantico is a little north of TacTailor but worth visiting plus theres a gun shop behind Tactical Tailor which stocks a lot of Magpul goodies and great deals on ammo. I wish I had more airsoft monies but Ham Radio Outlet has wiped me out very greatly in the last month for new radio gear. :(

It's not that bad. Whats new is priced for it, new top and bottom propper marpat for $59.97.
Used stuff is priced a little high but for the ease of getting it, it's bad. Top and bottom British DPM $39.98. Alice rig 4 mag and 2 grenade pouches, $30.

Considering there is no tax its not that bad.

Another place in lakewood is the Foxhole there also is another place a few blocks north but I don't know the name.

Andy & Bax also has a lot of camping and survival gear that is also useful, but not necessarily "airsoft related." It's worth a visit. Awesome store.

I went there yesterday and it wasn't that great. Only deal I found were German "Commando" fleeces for $35 a pop. It has some airsoft stuff, but not much. My other visit actually brought me a bit of luck, I guess they just didn't have anything in stock or something.

I've been to Andy and Bax before, and it didn't seem that great. Unfortunately, I just received $120 worth of gift cards to them, and have no idea what to buy there. I originally wanted to get a new MOLLE plate carrier, but all I remember them having is the hydration pack stuff. I also wanted desert Marpat, but they don't carry that either. Anyone want to trade for Andy and Bax gift cards?

They moved to Boring, right off highway 212. They don't always have the coolest stuff, but I've gotten some gems from them before.

Check out Quantum Arms...they are right down the street from Tac-Tailor. They have a ton of stuff.

Oregon Airsoft Arena....waste of time. Just go to AONW, they have everything you'd want and more.
