What would you like to see happen in the AP community in the year 2011?

I would like to see a community effort to support our fields. I would love the idea of a construction day, where we go out and bring whatever materials we have to better our fields. For the Farm, especially, get a bunch of people to chop down blackberry bushes and even out trails. Afterwords there could be a small skirmish. Also, now that I am 16 and have been to many events, I see the value in raising the age limit (with exceptions). I had to wait to play and it allowed me to mature greatly and not go out all "CoD psyched". Otherwise, I think we had a great year and we have much to celebrate, such as the opening of the Farm. Our community is growing and hopefully, will someday become widely respected. Thank you for allowing me to be a part of this group of plastic-slinging soldiers.

-More so called mini Ops: The side missions and back story of an Op, but without the lower quality-chairsofting-clusterfawk that the larger games see.
-Promoters paying attention to age & flakyness of people signing up.

As foe working local fileds. Free yes, pay fields no unless they rebate our work on events/skirmishes/trainings. My personal time is worth $25.00 an hour. It is responsibility of the pay fields to improve their own fields, not us the customers.. If they can not do this then they need to be in another line of business... Airsoft is a crappy way to make living especially in this economy..

With larger 'business' fields (i'm thinking SplatAction/Warpaint here) sure, i agree JB.

i gotta say though, why would you single out smaller, low fee, fields like the Farm, ABT (RIP), etc, for paying a small fee for a day of good play?

The promoter got his a$$ out of bed to be the first one there, deals with insurance, the garbage left behind, collecting waivers, often admin'ing, having ammo on site, etc etc etc...and none of those guys are getting rich off the deal. Ask X or Transition if running a field on the weekends was ever a good way to make a living.

Infact, i'd guess it's a labor of love that they offer up to the community. Why the f**k shouldn't we volunteer the time if we're able? Your time is worth $25? Guess what? My time is priceless, and i'd gladly do some work on my favorite local fields.

Moar cqc places.
A way to sync my berry calender with the AP calender. Granted thats more down to ap.com as opposed to the community, but I'd love to see it happen.

Thunder, I have a few mini ops in the works, hopefully they'll fit the bill for what your after ;)

-Two or three good OPs that are well-planned (Ash Bash 2010 was bleeding awesome, do it again and don't change a thing)
-Less skirmishes with admission
-Halloween Costume Contest as a live event mixed with a swap meet
-A new indoor location that is big enough to do Nephilim 4 (which then means I'm wishing for enough time to plan Nephilim 4 :))

But mostly: The return of monthly free skirms.
