Can I get my $$$ back?

Postby Zebco » Mon Mar 29, 2010 3:53 pm

Ok, so I just recently purchased a KWA 1911 from extreme rice on this forum. I send a MO, and he ships it in an ENVELOPE (yes, an ENVELOPE) with no padding. I recieve my package today, and its ripped to shreds and no 1911 or holster to be found....

He also didnt insure it. Am I screwed or can I get my $$$ back?

try sending him a PM first, if he doesn't oblige then i'd say you're screwed.

Yeah, it doesn't sounds good man. But keep on trying, he may get back to you. Try not to buy stuff from guys out of Oregon or Washington. Saves me from getting screwed over.

If you have the address that you send the MO to. Use it to find a phone number and call him and see what he has to say.

Whatta ya know....he replied.

HIM: I didnt scam you. I sent what you ordered and I havent been at my place its been spring break and i have been gone. My old man decided to take the holster for his Real Steel 1911. So im sorry bout that. That guy at the post office said that it would be there in a week and he would package it up so nothing happend. Thats why he put it in that bag.

ME:Is there any way I can just get my money back?.....Thats what im so PO'd about....The fact that I barely even had the $$$ and its gone without anything in return.....Also, just curious, how did you manage to bring a 1911, that looks like a real gun, into a post office and hand it to a mail man to package it for you?

HIM:Im sorry but i no longer have the money, I DID SEND YOU A PISTOL. I took the pistol apart (takin of slide n clip out) I took it out showed him he had helped me package the pistol and hey sent it out for me. Now i dont know what happend too the package, Something you gunna have to call were ever to figure out. So im sorry but i didnt scam you, I sent you a workin pistol and it pisses me off to know that a custom is not lost/destroyed

ME: I already tried to take it up with the PO. They said unless insured, they cant do anything for me.

HIM: ill run down to my PO. they never saying anything about insuring and what not, So im sorry bout the loss Zebco. Let me run down in a bit and see what happend. I will be away from my comp Tues-Thursday and possible weekend

ME:Wait, if you are out of town, how are you gonna go to your post office.....I wanna know if im gettin my $$$ back ASAP

if you still have the purchasers copy of the money order you can put a stop payment on it. Even if you didnt you could possibly go back to where you bought the money order and ask them to help give you your money order information. there normally is a form to fill out and a fee.

so the kid handed a gun to a postal worker and said help me pack this? is he retarded?

also there should be a number to call about your missing item? usually when a package opens like that there is some place you can call about a missing item.

I had this same issue with some parts that I ordered. Poor packaging and all I got was an empty envelope. Fortunately the business sent me the parts asap when I called them. Your issue unfortunately is with the post office and their clumsy handling of the package. Sounds like the seller shipped in in good faith and your issue is with USPS.......good luck!

Zebco, welcome aboard the cruise ship life......I wish I could even remember all the times I got ripped off because I trusted someone. Sucks? yes it does. Do what you can to recoup your money and if you can't, you just paid for your first credit in the school of hard knocks......

As unfair as it may seems you might never get your money back. I know i would be really upset if that happened to me.
