Anybody going to SHOT Show?

Postby Matt » Thu Jan 09, 2014 10:36 pm

Who's going to SHOT this year? I'll be there again, but I'm toning it down this year. I'm hitting the show room floor for 1 day only - happy to report back or take pictures of anything people want to see.

Nope, as usual I'm attending as a media professional. It wouldn't make sense for AP to have a booth, we don't really sell any products. Just walking the show and visiting Airsoft manufacturers for the most part, and checking out any real-steel stuff that catches my eye.

I know this is weird coming from me,

but can you stop by the Crye booth? I'd like more information on their new airlite vest systems. They have four variants, which basically boil down to front/back plate carriers, and those with side plates. The side plate attachments look really funky and I can't understand how they work. If you could get some video footage or ask the guy about those in more depth, that'd be awesome.

Example:

I mean, where does the side plate attach? Just in the back? It doesn't seem to make sense.

Also:

Kifaru 20652, their new-ish Loco pack doesn't list the overall storage. Just the main pouch. But it expands to twice as big it looks like, so I'm curious how much it actually holds. If they have one there, manhandle it. Talk it up.

That can NOT only be 40 liters when fully expanded.

ADS Inc Booth 20415 - Are they releasing their digital patterns to the public? What is going on with the camouflage improvement effort?

Booth 11729 F is a company called F.A.P.

TAC wear booth 20052 Uniform producer.

TEA headsets 7008 - Anything new coming out? Try to steal me a V60 + X5

Trijicon 12117, 11923, 10473 - Ask about the VCOG optic. Looks hawtt.

And last but not least, try to find people selling D30 knee pads. Feel that material. It sounds awesome but weird.

ITW Military Products 10479 -Any cool new buckles coming out.

Kitanica booth 20111 - Always make cool stuff. Overpriced awesome motorcycle jackets.

KRISS USA Booth 432 - They are supposedly making a rifle using the same blowback design as the KRISS Vector. That would be interesting. I hear it looks like the gun from the movie Aliens.

KWA Booth 20515 or 20617 - Ask them about the teething issues with the gas AK.

Wow, that's a long list, I'll hit up as many of those as I can.

Definitely already plan to visit KRISS, they invited me to come shoot at the range. CRYE is definitely on my list too. Met the Kitanica guys last year, indestructible stuff, but you're right it's really expensive.
