From what I've been told from my manufacturers, yes the PTS line is done.
We have the best pricing in the NW for airsoft gear.
And now we offer the best indoor experience for our great community.

Meh, most of their stuff wasn't any better than the ACM rip offs, so I'm not sure many people will care.

I was speaking with a PTS rep and yeah unfortunately MagpulUSA has decided to end their licensing with PTS and airsoft as a whole. Seems MagpulUSA is also working with customs to have any replica Magpul products confiscated, so once this goes into affect it'll probably be a little harder (though probably not much) to get the other replicas into the US.

PTS itself as a company though is not closing as they have a lot of other manufacturers on their product line currently and a lot more to come.

i bet magpul is only dropping their licencing because all the other acm companys are making their stuff just as good for way cheaper. i dont see it getting any harder to get acm magpul stuff, i got a few good suppliers that arent afraid to ship stuff as long as long as you pay for it. so dont worry to much, all your fravorate magpul stuff will still be readaly avalible.

Reportedly the bigger issue was the chinese knockoffs being sold as non PTS gear, for example several of the sellers on Amazon were selling ACM MS3 slings as genuine Magpul slings, which was causing a lot of headaches when they failed.

I do believe the theory is that by pulling the licensing, any and all magpul items showing up in import are automatically declared counterfeit. So it should have some sort of effect, but it's hard to say whether it will be a big one.

We've got some of the details posted up in here.

tl;dr - PTS has suspended all production/import of Magpul licensed airsoft products. They did not cancel the licensing agreement outright. As mentioned, the goal here is to crack down on ALL Magpul marked items entering the country. Customs can't figure out if something is genuine PTS or knockoff Magpul, so this makes it easy for someone to dump all Magpul imports into the 'confiscated' bin.

We may see Magpul PTS items come back in again after this crackdown. This also means that all your ACM products may be under scrutiny, so that's not a viable option for replacement of the genuine PTS products.

This is a little off the mark. For one, the ACM companies DON'T make stuff as good as PTS did. The ACM replicas were cheaply built, and (in the case of grips) didn't fit well or with other items, fell apart or were poor support for attaching accessories.

It MAY be harder to get ACM stuff. Magpul is very much concerned about this, so they will be looking for items. Now, it is true that they may catch more of the 'big guy' and not too many of the single-user imports, but it's certainly a possibility. Either way, for a lot of users, the ACM stuff is NOT a good substitute for PTS stuff, it's simply not made well enough.
