Beach

Postby LION1 » Sun May 19, 2013 11:38 pm

I just had an idea is there a beach in Oregon that isn't owned or anything? Because that would be a cool setting for an airsoft game. have one team start off on the beach like they had come from a boat or something. Anyone got any ideas?

All of the beach is state owned, nobody can restrict beach access, as far as I know. Theoretically you could do whatever you want, you'd just want to make sure you had permission and informed authorities. It would probably be easiest to rent a house on a more private section of beach. But really, without any supporting terrain to go with it, you're just playing Airsoft in a big open sandy beach where you can see your enemy from miles away. It's never going to be like Normandy.

Sand kills airsoft guns.

good strong points. what i was thinking was to have a stretch of beach and a grassy plane with a bit of coverage but it was just an idea wanted to see what people thought of it. thanks for the input though.

It's rough, but if you're careful and clean them out well afterwards, they should be fine.
Granted, I'm sure beach sand behaves differently then the miserable irradiated stuff that gets blown all over the place on the east side.
But still.

It blows on the breeze and fills everything with grit, including your mags, tightbore, and gearbox. I'm not risking grenading my AEG's internals to play somewhere within the public eye and devoid of real cover. There have been games at the coast, but not on beaches.
