I remember when CQB fields were worth going to and people didn't phony pony about needing to drive more than an hour to get to them. I know it seems like a long way when you're 16, but it's VERY, VERY REASONABLE in the reality of our hobby to drive about an hour or two to get to someplace to play.
If you live within an hour of ANY arena, you should be happy. CQB is the hardest thing to get a facility for and just "starting one up" is tens of thousands of dollars that you can't guarantee you'll make back. Commerce boards are notorious for "not understanding" airsoft as a sport and they will tie up the owner's plans as well, costing them time while they continue to not make any money. Insurance costs, building maintenance, basic overhead, employees, snacks, chargers, and so on all get tacked on as you find out what it really takes to run an arena and then something completely unrelated to how hard you've tried to open the facility happens and it all falls into absolute shit.
Be happy there is anywhere at all.
