Can we add ducks? Maybe some geese? That'd be fun.

Haha for all those worried about gear restrictions don't worry I hate the sloppiness just as much you do. Gear restrictions will be well strict. Even policies on allowed web gear will be set place. (No plate carriers for the rebels). An extended night game would be fun. Vehicles would be interesting especially if the tank I believe I heard apst is restoring could be available as a prop. Correct me if I'm wrong about this rumored tank but having armor on the field would be cool. Sticking to the road of course. And stubby would have to approve. Tank on a gravel road in the winter might be to much for the field to handle. Wouldn't want to tear it up.

I have been considering the plausibility of having a bomb sniffing dog on the field. The IEDs could have a small amount of an aromatic dog treat smeared on them before they where placed so that once an area was secured the bomb team would be able to use a dog to sweep the area and then dispose of any detected explosives or traps. This of course requires the custom building of a full protection suit for a dog (possibly my black lab) cause i don't know about you but i absolutely love my dog and wouldn't consider bringing her on the field without proper protection. Of course said dog would only be in a secured area for a short amount of time but still no unnecessary risks. Any opinions on something like this? Also anybody have any ideas or experience with anything similar to this? (the protection suit)

Probably wasn't APST, this is the first I'm hearing about this tank. But it sounds like a cool idea!

Sorta like that? google ftw!

Not sure if i meets standard but those or a product called "Doggles" (www.doggles.com) that offers a slightly better eye pro type.

If you wanna use a "Bomb Dog" get them the glasses and a life vest type thing and make the dog an zero tolerance non-com. You shoot the dog on purpose.....GO HOME. The added prop of a live animal also adds the issue about is the dog going to snap when bb's start flying? Is said animal gonna protect their people? While I would love to be able to bring a dog to do this, I dont think an airsoft game is the right thing to do with your dog. Take them and let them sit by the car? Meh...so so. Take them into combat? Not in a situation like this.

A well scripted "encounter" with a bomb squad with dog might be a great thing. The host team will have to ensure that no weapons are fired till the dog leaves, but thats very do-able. Just my 2 cents worth

If we do anything along the lines of a bomb dog I would bring my lab. She is very nice and a hunting dog so the bbs are no issue and we wouldn't have to worry about her "protecting" her people. I have a jacket that would work that is bright orange for her to wear the goggles where the only issue. Yes the dog would be one of those things where if you shoot at her you would be going home. But with the strict camo and gear regulations I don't see this being a problem as we will have the more mature side of the community present at this event

We have a tank/apc thingy. Was at LOW V with it. It's a bit different than then, more power, and stuff. A-STD, not APST.

Thanks for clearing that up payback. Would you be willing to bring it to a game in that case to be used as a prop/vehicle?

There is a game in the works with dedicated opfor, vehicle searches, a nice couple mile hike in, establishing a defensive position for a CCP, strict uniforms, required gear, etc... roleplaying, bitches.
Just waiting for better weather since the majority of the community are bitcccchesss ;)

Depends on when. It's a pain to load and haul. We would need to make sure we can make it up.

The fact that the dog is well used to this is great!! I think it would be an amazing addition to the "reality" factor in the game!!!!

Well assuming the world doesn't end... I would possibly be interested in this event and hopefully some of my team members might want to attend as well.

I like the idea of a "bomb sniffing dog" but it sounds like a bit much. I'd want more focus on the IEDs themselves, than how we'll be detecting them.

I think one of those mall balloon dogs would be awesome. They're mylar so a bit tough, but if you shoot the dog enough it pops just like a real dog with real bullets.

Yes, very funny. However a balloon dog won't be able to find the IEDs. and nobody worry, i'll try to make the IEDs as realistic as possible. For right now i'm planning on having this happen Feb. 9th and 10th. As soon as all details are sorted out I will post to the events calender.
