bill summery:

Initially the bill was introduced that covered imitation firearm or spot marker gun that expels a projectile larger than 16mm that basically exempted airsoft guns which was a wonder since Senator De León is supported by the Paintball Industry, which will be affected with such wording in the bill. It was amended on the 29th of March and as expected, it was intended to ban airsoft and other imitation firearms that fire projectiles less than 16mm, Paintball and bears resemblance in coloration and overall appearance to an existing firearm. This is intended to exempt Paintball.

Another anti gun group attacking something that looks scary. I hate people, one of these days someone has to go in with a painted up fake looking real gun (unloaded and safe) and a airsoft gun and ask those people to pick up the fake gun.....

Why would you want to perpetuate the thinking that replica guns are too realistic looking? That's the biggest issue that comes up time and time again. Some dumbfuck parent lets their little Timmy run around his neighbrohood (not a spelling mistake... ) with an airsoft gun and then gets pissed when little Timmy wants to play cops and robbers with real cops. Parents need to stop blaming inanimate objects (airsoft guns, video games, McDonalds, Dan,...) for the problems they have.
